ALIGNMENT

Alignment of the various factions

It may be beneficial for some players to find potential partners who share similar goals.

If you feel I have misunderstood the alignment of a faction, please let me know in the comments

With a number between 0 and 10 (Anti aliens/Serv aliens)

THE RESISTANCE

• Protect humanity by resisting aliens. For a coordinated defense, form an alliance of nations.
• Humanity First: Less extreme versions

 

THE SERVANTS [Submit]

• Believe that the aliens will solve all of the world’s problems if you worship and support them
• It’s easier because you don’t have to fight the aliens

 

THE INITIATIVE [Exploit]

• To gain power, you can use the chaos and destruction caused by the alien arrival
• The Aliens are not friends or foes. Most likely the neutralest faction.

 

PROJECT EXODUS [Escape]

• Escape the aliens and build a huge starship to escape the Solar System

 

THE ACADEMY [Cooperate]

• Convince the aliens we are equal and work together to form an interstellar alliance
• It may seem like a simple start due to a large public opinion boost in many countries, but it is not. Spoiler: A relatively early event puts a lot your control points into crackdown mode for a whole year

 

HUMANITY FIRST [Destroy]

• All alien sympathizers must be exterminated

 

THE PROTECTORATE [Appease]

• Protect humanity by advocating for negotiated surrender as the only means to avoid annihilation
• The Servants is a less extreme version
