Welcome to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – How to Remove Next Generation Update Guide.

This guide is intended for friends who, like me, want to end the scheme to obliterate Witcher 3 under the guise of the Next Generation Update. I was astounded to learn that most Witcher 3 players preferred not to update. They were looking for ways to get rid of it. It was wonderful to see that we were all experiencing the same things. I believed I was the only one who didn’t want to complete this update. If you think like I, you can stop your game from being destroyed using the following strategy.

 

Instructions:

• 
  We first create a setting to stop Steam running whenever our computer turns on. This is because Steam may open automatically, and our game could be accidentally updated without us consenting.
  

• 
  Click Steam in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  

• 
  Click on the settings button.
  

• 
  Click on the Interface section. Turn off the setting that I circled in red. Steam will not open automatically when your computer turns on.
  

• 
  Next, click on Witcher 3 from your library. The settings icon will appear to the right of your screen. Click there.
  

• Click on Properties.

• 
  Go to the Updates section. Select the setting that I have shown on the screen. Only when the game is running will the update be initiated.
  

 

Now, I will tell you why we chose these settings…

• 
  Unfortunately, Steam does not allow you to turn off updates. This means that we must create this option. The update will not download if you disconnect from the internet. To play The Witcher 3 as intended, you must disconnect your internet connection before opening Steam. You can still play The Witcher 3 offline without updating it. You can log in to Steam online but should not attempt to start Witcher 3 online. As I mentioned, if you plan to play the game, disconnect from your internet connection and then run it. This will get rid of the update.
