Windows 10/11

  1. Use the Windows Key to access your keyboard
  2. Click on the search button
  3. Type “Exploit Protection” in the search box
  4. Select Open
  5. Click on “Program Settings”.
  6. Scroll down the list and look for “HogwartsLegacy.exe”. If you don’t see it, skip to step 15.
  7. Click “Add program for customization”
  8. Select “Choose exact path” from the drop-down menu
  9. The files will open. Find your steam folder. Mine is located in Program Files (x86) –
  10. Open the folder “Steam”.
  11. Open the folder “steamapps”, within the steam folder
  12. Steamapps folder “Common” is open.
  13. Open the “Hogwarts Heritage” folder
  14. Select “HogwartsLegacy.exe”
  15. You should be back at the Explot protection page. Tap HogwartsLegacy.exe to return to the list
  16. Select edit
  17. Scroll down until “Control Flow Guard”.
  18. Click on the checkbox “Override System Setting”
  19. Change the setting to “off” below the box
  20. Next, click “apply” to confirm.
  21. Restart your computer, and you’re done.
