Ok, I give up. Can’t get the game to load beyond the “Crowbar Collective” screen. Tried killing saves, reinstalling, can’t find any mods to remove (maybe there are some, but I don’t see them). Help? Anyone know what the hell is going on? I had nearly 40 hours until the recent updates, and now I can’t even get into it to play v.1.

I had this same problem.

After turning off RivaTuner ( part of Atferburner for stats etc)
game loads in new UI too seamless and run as it should.

Old UI (-oldgameui) works with Riva but looks not the same as far as I can judge,
has 2008/TF2 vibe.
