There are a lot of guides out there telling you to go into several folders and do console commands etc to do things to increase your FPS by 10 to 15 FPS.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600x and RX 5700xt and was getting 12-15 frames; I tried to follow some of these methods. They didn’t work and required way too many compromises that made no sense. Game set on low settings, decreasing resolution, still having terrible and unplayable experience.

Then I noticed using Radeon (alt +r) software my GPU was only utilizing 15%-24% but most of the time 5%-10%.

TL;DR

1) Download newest BIOS update for your make and model; usb flash update by using GUI from BIOS (restart windows, hit f12 or del or whatever)

2) a. Download AMD Ryzen Chipset update software, run it. Restart windows.

b. During this restart, hit your BIOS button again and make sure your RAM is set correctly.

3) Download (if you don’t already have) MSI afterburner; monitor performance

Personal Results:

I was going to uninstall the game and request a refund, now it works like a completely differently game.

NOTE: I waited to Fix 3 before purchasing the game, so it wasn’t the patch that fixed the issue. The issue for ME and maybe YOU is outdated ryzen zen 3 chipset drivers and outdated motherboard BIOS version.

The game runs like the glory days of BF4; even with 128 players and ridiculous amounts of carnage on screen.
