Burst

Once your BURST meter is full (indicated by it saying BURST!!) If you are in hit stun you can access the burst move.

Utilizing the burst move when your opponent has hit you to break out of a combo in the early stages and then reset to neutral, where neither you nor your opponent enjoys much of an advantage. This will empty your BURST meter. This will reduce your damage and force your opponent to play with the burst move.

However, a burst can be blocked if a player is able to predict it; this will leave you out of the combo with no access to burst until your meter fills up. This allows your opponent to perform extremely safe combos that could cause massive damage. Burst is a potent weapon, but it’s not always 100% safe.

Remember that Whiff Cancelling in the previous section relies on your BURST Meter as a resource.
