For we have done the research you were too busy, tired or lazy to do!
We looked through your possible wife’s drawers, sniffed their panties, stole their stuff!
We spied on them, in their house, in the beach, in the town, in their showers!
And we gothered all the information you might need before picking one to share your love and farm with!
Spoiler alert: Information was gathered from heart events, which you might want to discover on your own.

-There are gifts that everyone likes, dislikes and such, I have only listed the ones that are special depending on who you gift them to
-There are bias, yes
-I have onlt listed the easiest to get gifts, all of them can be acquired within the first year
WARNING: Do not try any of this in real life
How to get a girlfriend and eventually marry her….or break up.
Girlfriend:
After you reach 8 hearts, you will receive a letter from Pierre that he is now selling Bouquets.The Bouquet costs 200G, buy one and give it to your waifu, easy. Only then can you reach 10 hearts with her.
Marriage:
After you reach 10 hearts, you will receive a letter from Lewis that you need something called a “Mermaid’s Pendant” to marry your girlfriend. You can buy it from the Old Mariner for 5000G, the Old Mariner spawn to the area right of the beach and to access that area you need 300 wood. He also spawns only on rainy days, so not in Winter.
After you get married make sure to interract with her once per day.
Breaking Up:
Girlfriend: Buy a bouquet, throw it in the furnace and give it to her, easy.
Wife: Ask Lewis for a divorce which costs 50.000G and you ex-wife will hate you so long story short don’t get a divorce.
Abigail
aka “goth gf”
Character:
Abigail is Pierre and Caroline’s daughter, although throughtout hints given to you by them you discover that the Wizard is actually her biological dad.
She is a fans favorite for obvious reasons such as purple hair and being a gamer.
Is she wife material? Eh..eh….kinda….not really. Maybe she is cool as a girlfriend or a gaming buddy but you wouldn’t want her as your wife.
Why? Well, first of all, if you can’t already tell by the purple hair and general emo look, she has daddy issues. She gets mad at you and her parents for telling her to do “girly” things, keep in mind she gets mad at you for telling her that going into the caves to fight monsters will be dangerous for her. Geez.
Gifts:
Love:
•Amethyst, the mineral that matches her hair color
•Pufferfish, the blown up fish can be caught on the beach on Summer mornings
•pumpkin, planted in Autumn, instead of selling them, save up to gift them all to Aby
Like:
•Quartz, easily found while mining
Neutral:
•All mushrooms, except the red one
•All srping and winter foraging, except Holly and Horseradish
Do NOT gift:
•Holly and Horseradish, duh
•Sugar, weird I know
•Clay, for obious reasons
Heart Events:

Emily
aka Ms. Positive
Character:
Emily lives with her sister Haley (which we will get to next) and works at the Saloon. She is that one character that is always smiling and optimistic. She is also the spiritual type because she likes medtiating and lemme tell you, some of her events are wild.
Is she wife material? Sure, she wears a dress and has a job, pretty cool if you ask me.
Gifts:
Love:
•Amethyst, Aquamarine, Emerald, Jade, Ruby, Topaz – Boy does she like jewels.
Like:
•Daffodil, found in Spring
•Quartz, easily found while mining
Neutral:
•All mushrooms except the red one
•All spring and winter foraging except Holly and Salmonberry

•Any food that includes FISH
•Holly and Salmonberry, duh
•Icecream

Haley
aka “The School idol”
Character:
If you read the part about Emily you would know that Haley is Emily’s sister, if you don’t know, well now you know. At first glance and conversation you she creates the image of a city girl that doesn’t want to stay in the village with all the boomers and you don’t really see her socializing with anyone except from Alex that she has a crush on.
Is she wife material? Well after some events you see her becoming more friendly and down to earth so it’s really up to you if you want to dig down to find that Haley.

Like:
•Daffodil, found during Spring
Do NOT gift

Leah
Character:
Leah lives alone in a small house under Marnie’s Ranch and she is basically the broke good arts student even though she isn’t really a student. She used to live in the city and had a boyfriend but broke up because he wanted her to get a real job to money while she wanted to make art. She is overall a nice person but nothing really to stand out about her personality.
Is she wife material? Let’s be honest here, she broke up with her ex cause she wanted her to get a job instead of making useless art, it can happen to you too.

•Driftwood, you know what they say, “One man’s trash…”
Yeah as you can tell she is probably the easiest to make you wife.

Character:
Maru lives with her parents, Demetrius and Robin, and her emo brother, Sebastian, in the house in the mountain. She fullfills the stereotype of the nerd, wears glasses, scientist father, works with gadgets and is slightly anti-social.
Is she wife material? I’ll be completely honest, I never considered her for a relationship. I mean yeah, she seems nice and all but her family..uh, Sebastian hates her as every older brother does and Demetrius tells you that he doesn’t want anything (or anyone) to get in the way of her bright future so I just let them be.
Gifts:

Penny lives with her alcoholic mother, Pam, in a trailer, yeah. She is the town’s teacher which is quite nice of her since the town doesn’t have a school. She is quite antisocial since everytime you try to talk to her she acts way too awkward, which to be honest can be blamed to her mother.
Is she wife material? Hell to the yes. She wants kids, can homeschool your kids and she is quite nice. Not to mention that by marrying her you basically save her from her alcoholic mother.

•Melon, can be farmed in Summer
•Roots Platter, can be cooked with a Cave Carrot and a Winter Root
