Trying to get the “cook all recipes” achievement? Here’s a quick reference guide of how many of each ingredient you will need to cook all the recipes.

How to use this guide

This guide is meant to accompany other great guides such as the Stardew Valley Wiki, where you can find additional information you’ll need, such as:

  • how to get the cooking recipes,
  • seasons crops can be planted,
  • where to get seeds you can’t find at Pierre’s,
  • seasons, weather and times to catch fish.

Once you’re in the late game and just working on achievements, this guide will help you complete your checklist. Here’s a good set of steps.

  • Check the stove in your house to see which recipes you have unlocked. If there are some missing, use the WIki to figure out how to get the missing recipes.
  • There are 76 unique ingredients needed for all recipes. The Fridge in your Kitchen can hold some items, but it does not have 76 slots. For additional space, you can get a Mini-Fridge from Robin (Carpenter’s Shop) for 3000 gold which will hold another 36 items. You can get as many of these as you’d like. Using the stove in your house to cook, you will pull from your on-hand inventory as well as the Fridge and all Mini-Fridges.
  • Gather all the ingredients you will need in your fridge(s). If money is no object, it may be helpful to have a fridge for each category of thing, to help you keep track (for example, one fridge just for fish).
  • Place a few empty chests in your kitchen to store finished recipes – your inventory will likely get full. 🙂
  • Cook recipes using specific types of fish BEFORE cooking recipes using “Any Fish” (Any Fish = any fish type – You will need two of them, so keep two extra of any of the fish that you catch). The two “Any Fish” recipes are Maki Roll and Sashimi. If you cook the Maki Roll or Sashimi recipes first, the game may try to pull a specific fish you need for another recipe to use, rather than the “extra” fish you kept.
  • If you want to keep any iridium- or gold-star ingredients, place these items in a Chest BEFORE you start cooking, otherwise, it may use them as ingredients when you cook.
  • Cook the recipes you need as ingredients for other recipes first (see next section).
  • Lastly, cook all of the other recipes. Since you’ll have all of the ingredients on hand, you can just start at the top left and work your way through all of the recipes at the Stove. However, if you’ve already cooked some of the recipes, you will be able to skip some if you just want the achievement. You can check this at the bottom of the pop-up when you go to cook a recipe – it will say something like “Times Cooked”, and you can skip any that you’ve already cooked if you want to.

Recipes to cook multiple times

Some recipes serve as ingredients for other recipes. You’ll need to cook these multiple times to get the achievement.

The counts below include cooking each once to count towards the achievement, plus how many you need to cook to use as ingredients in other dishes.

Note: If you just want the “cook every recipe once” achievement, and you don’t want to end up with one of every cooked recipe at the end of it (e.g. to sell), you can subtract one from the counts below (e.g. make 3 Bread instead of 4). You will have some ingredients left over, but thankfully these are fairly easy to get ingredients 🙂

  • Bread – 4
  • Fried Egg – 2
  • Hashbrowns- 3
  • Omelet- 2
  • Pancakes- 2
  • Tortilla- 3

  1. I am kind of confused on the counts. It says it includes those that require being made more than once as they are recipes that are ingredients for other recipes, but you only list needing say 1 egg, when you need 2 fried eggs. Am I misunderstanding something about the boldface numbers? Also, I am making a spreadsheet of all this info so lmk if you want a link.
