One of the main animals that players can grow in Stardew Valley to create animal products is the chicken. These creatures consistently produce eggs, which players can use to breed additional chickens, market, or prepare mayonnaise.

White and brown chickens

The main/normal group of chickens is the first. This group contains two types: White and Brown.. You can purchase these chickens from Marnie, or incubated using either brown eggs or white eggs.

When it comes to eggs, the Brown Chicken produces yellow eggs and the White Chicken produces white eggs. Each egg is equally good or bad. The eggs’ color is purely cosmetic. Both eggs can be purchased for the same amount and make Mayonnaise the same way if placed in a Mayonnaise Machine.

Blue Chickens

I have good news for those who find White and Brown chickens boring. If you are interested in a friendship with Shane, there is a special Blue Chicken option available to you. Blue Chickens are unlocked when you reach 8 hearts or more with Shane. You can then either purchase one from Marnie (5% chance) or get lucky with an incubatorted brown/white chicken egg (5% chance).

Blue Chickens are nearly identical to White and Brown Chickens. However, they are blue in color. This chicken still produces white/brown-colored eggs. These eggs are available at the same prices as the regular chickens and can be used in Mayonnaise.

Apart from being unique looking, these chickens also stand out. This makes it easier to see your chickens outside the coop, roaming around your farm, than their brown or white counterparts.

Void Chickens

So far, we’ve only talked about chickens that are similar. This is the time to get a little bit crazy. The reason is both how they get there and what they produce.

You can purchase a Void Egg from Krobus or wait for the Witch random events to incubate it into a Void Chicken. Once you have gotten a Void egg, you can incubate it for a Void Chicken.

Void Chickens can produce Void Eggs. These eggs can be used as-is or converted into Void Mayonnaise if they are placed in a Mayonnaise maker. Void Mayonnaise has a different flavor than regular Mayonnaise. Void Mayonnaise, a quest item that helps the Wizard to get his Magical Ink Back, is called Void Mayonnaise.

Golden Chicken

The last of the Chickens players can get is the extremely laborious Golden Chicken. This chicken is only available to players who have completed the Perfection ending. This means they have completed all of the tasks required to reach The Summit. Once they have reached this mark, the Golden Chicken will be available. There are a few ways to get a Golden Egg:

You can incubate a Golden Egg regardless of how it was acquired. The Golden Chicken gives rise to Golden Eggs, which are more valuable and valuable than regular eggs. These eggs can also produce 3x Gold Quality Mayonnaise, if they are placed in a Mayonnaise Machine.
