Hey there, welcome to this post, we hope you find our RPG Maker MZ – How to access officially bundled plugins Guide to be useful.
This guide will help Windows users access these plugins. If anyone knows the MacOS file path.
Step 1
On your computer (Windows), go to: C:\Program Files (x86 – \Steam\steamapps\common\RPG Maker MZ\dlc\BasicResources (Unfortunately, I don’t know the MacOS path; if someone tells me, I’ll add it here.)
Step 2
There are three subfolders: /pictures/ (for pictures), /plugins/ (for plugins) and /system/. Go to /plugins/.
Step 3
- There are two folders in this section: /launch/and /official/. I don’t know why they’re organized this way, but in either case, both folders include many plugins that allow for features such as WASD movement and 8-directional movements, overpass tiles, active skills, etc.
- PluginCommonBase.js can be found in /official/ and is required by some plugins. When you add a Plugin through the Plugin Manager, it will inform you at the bottom if there are any dependencies. It will also tell you how to order plugins to load in the right order (by dragging and dropping them on the list).
We hope you found it useful; it has been our pleasure to walk you through the RPG Maker MZ – How to access officially bundled plugins.
