PAYDAY 2 – Best Build for Sicario for DSOD

 

Introduction

These are my main Sicario builds out of the 20+ Sicario builds I have. The later ones are more so fun builds that I like to use from time to time.

A few notes:

• all builds have been tested on Death Sentence
• none of these builds have Nine Lives aced
• most builds will have Inspire aced. This does mean sacrificing DPS for the benefit of the team.
• Quick Fix aced is NOT better than Painkillers aced, FAKs
• all builds are non infamy builds since Infamy 0 gang is the best
• some builds are meme builds, however, this doesn’t mean they aren’t effective

AK17 + Heather

The AK17 has gotten more popular recently as a result of Yokai’s Hard Carry Hacker build, and for good reason. It’s a very strong weapon. For this build, use it interchangeably with the Heather, but use the AK17 for long range combat.

Strengths:

• easy to use
• good DPS
• good in all ranges

Weaknesses:

• Shields can be a problem

 

Akimbo Kobus 90 + Micro UZI

A standard triple SMG build. Can use both interchangeably but preferably using your primary to deal with Dozers and your secondary for everything else.

Strengths:

• better DPS
• easy to use
• great at close range

Weaknesses:

• long range
• damage falloff (thanks Overkill)

R93 + CR805B

This build is good if you can aim. Use your secondary for Dozers. You don’t have to use a suppressor on your secondary (get suppressor for the sniper, however) since I did not pick up any suppressor skills, this was only to prevent cop targeting.

• powerful if you can aim
• one shot kill to all enemies on headshot (except Dozers)
• good for making space (again, needs good aim)
• can deal with all ranges of combat

Weaknesses:

• difficult to use
• needs good aim
• Dozer rushes

 

Akimbo Judge (w/ AP Rounds) + Heather

A different Overkill aced setup without fire rounds. People kept stealing kills before I could proc Overkill with the fire DOT, so with the advice of Yokai, I decided to use Akimbo AP Judge instead. I didn’t have enough points to get deployables, so just choose any, to be honest. This will just mean you will have to be less aggressive.

Strengths:

• great DPS
• teammates won’t ruin your Overkill aced proc

Weaknesses:

• no aced deployables
• no Inspire
• long range

 

CAR4 + Mark 10 (w/ Frenzy)

THIS IS A MEME BUILD. I do not recommend running a Beserker setup with Sicario unless you really know how to play the deck as well as are experienced in DSOD.

With high risk comes high reward. You get very high DPS at the risk of being graced and dying or being killed by a Medic Dozer if you get hit without armour. You have to be very passive with this setup since you are very weak and have no FAKs. The Smoke Bomb should ideally be used more with this setup (unless you pro))). Use your primary on Dozers (DMR Kit). For deployables, just bring anything…or bring a medic bag 😛

To zerk: A light unit shot to your health

Difficulty: Pretty darn high

• very high DPS
• weapons can deal with all ranges of combat

Weaknesses:

• literally everything can kill you
• no Inspire
• no aced deployables

 

Platypus + Compact 40 (w/ ICTV + Frenzy)

ANOTHER MEME BUILD.

Suit is obviously the best choice when playing with Sicario, but that doesn’t mean that ICTV is not viable whatsoever. You might not have any dodge initially, but the “50% chance to not get hit” while in smoke can still be used. Therefore, the smoke bomb needs to be used even more when playing with this build. Frenzy basic is also used to reach the breakpoint for a 2 shot armour setup. For weapons, I don’t think the Platypus reaches any significant breakpoints, but seeing as you have to be really passive with this setup, it’s better to fight from a distance.

Difficulty: Also pretty darn high

Strengths:

• great at making space if you can aim
• not bad for heists that require camping

Weaknesses:

• needs good aim
• need to be mindful of enemies since you are extremely vulnerable if you have no armour
• heists that require moving
• can get overwhelmed easily if rushed
• no Inspire
• no FAKs

 

Plainsrider Bow + Gruber Kurz

My clan, Team$Diamonds, have been doing a challenge that involves completing all heists on DSOD solo without AI using the Gruber Kurz as the main weapon. I haven’t tried a solo yet with this setup (nor do I currently have any intention to), but as a team build, it’s pretty fun to use. The bow has explosive arrows to deal with groups of enemies or shields, and the pistol is used for everything else.

Strengths:

• pistol can deal decent damage

Weaknesses:

• DPS dependent on how fast you can click
• mid to long range
• aiming with the bow can be tricky

 

Akimbo Broomsticks + Castigo

Surprisingly a pretty solid weapon setup. Using pistols can be hard at first but if facing ammo issues, just swap weapons every 20s or so and you will be fine.

Difficulty: 3.5/5
