Disclaimer

Due to rng, not all of the info here may be 100% accurate to the real percentages, but should still give a general idea of the ratio of how a gun progresses through 914.

COM-15

COM-15:

Fine >>> COM-18

VFine >>> 60% for a FSP-9 or 40% for Revolver (This could be a 50/50 ratio)

Conclusion:

Unless you really like the COM-18, very fine will let you upgrade faster.

COM-18

COM-18:

Coarse >>> COM-15

Fine >>> FSP-9

VFine >>> 70% for a Crossvec, and a 30% chance for a Revolver (This could also be a 50/50 ratio)

Conclusion:

Very Fine is likely also a better option as the Crossvec is a higher improvement over the FSP-9.

Revolver

Revolver:

Fine >>> Crossvec

VFine >>> Seems to create a random amount of items (2-4) ranging from Medkits, Painkillers, ZM cards, and a COM-15. (I have also gotten grenades but this seems rare)

Conclusion:

Use fine, but if you are injured, or locked in light, you could sacrifice a revolver.

FSP-9

FSP-9:

Coarse >>> COM-18

Fine >>> Crossvec

VFine >>> 80% for the Crossvec, and a 20% chance for an E11

Conclusion: Very fine is a better option for upgrading your gun as you have a chance to skip needing to upgrade a Crossvec.

Crossvec

Crossvec:

Fine >>> 80% for an e11, and a 20% chance for an ak

VFine >>> 80% for an e11, and a 20% chance for a shotgun

Conclusion:

Based on if you prefer an ak to a shotgun you can make your own choice on what upgrade setting to use.

(I did manage to lose a crossvec on fine durring testing but this could have just been a bug)

E11

E11:

Fine >>> AK

VFine >>> a 20% chance for a Crossvec, an AK, a Shotgun, a Logicer, or a Micro.

Conclusion:

If you prefer an AK to an E11, use fine, but Very Fine can get you a chance at a Shotgun, Logicer, or even a Micro.

AK

AK:

Fine >>> E11

VFine >>> a 20% chance for a Crossvec, an AK, a Shotgun, a Logicer, or a Micro.

Conclusion:

Just like the E11, If you prefer an E11 to an AK, use fine, but Very Fine can get you a chance at a Shotgun, Logicer, or even a Micro.

Shotgun

Shotgun:

Coarse >>> An AK with 2 Frag grenades

Fine >>> Logicer

VFine >>> 40% for a Crossvec, 40% for an AK, and a 20% chance for a Logicer. (This could be a 33% chance for all)

Conclusion:

If your goal is to get a Logicer, use fine, and If you want an AK, use coarse as its a guarantied, So unless you really want a Crossvec, I wouldn’t use very fine.

Logicer

Logicer:

Coarse >>> AK + 2 Frag Grenade

Fine >>> Shotgun

VFine >>> 60% for an AK + 2 Frag Grenade, 20% for a Shotgun + Magnum, and a 20% chance for a Micro.

Conclusion:

I would stay away from putting a Logicer in 914, but if you like having a sidearm or grenades, very fine could be useful.

(Theoretically, Very fine could be used to make large amounts of guns, as you can turn a Logicer into a Shotgun and Revolver, which could both be re-upgraded back into Logicers, but this would likely take to much time to be practical)

Misc info

The Micro can be downgraded to an E11 if you would want to

Grenades and Flashbangs seem to have their old probabilities to become 018 and 207

From testing, the rough setting seems to turn a weapon into the ammo it uses and the 1:1 setting seems to randomize attachments on a weapon.

The ammo ratios on fine seems to be:

6 9mm = 4 5.56mm

10 7.62mm = 2 buckshot = 1 .44 magnum
