How to Play Phantom Liberty DLC Using Old Save in Cyberpunk 2077

This guide will help you to access the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077, which requires a few steps.

Requirements:

First things first, if you’re itching to explore the Phantom Liberty DLC, make sure you’ve got the basics covered:

  • Make sure you’ve purchased the game of Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam.
  • Next up, grab the Phantom Liberty DLC.
  • Last but not least, get that patch 2.0 update. It’s loaded with cool stuff to improve your play. However,
  • This patch 2.0 is just for the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X / S ONLY

Note:

Alright, here are a couple of things to be aware of with this DLC:

  • Patch 2.0 is only up for grabs if you’re on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X / S. Those on PS4 or Xbox One, unfortunately, miss out.
  • Also, the Phantom Liberty experience is tailored for PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X / S. So if you’re on the older consoles, you might want to consider an upgrade.

Starting Phantom Liberty with an Old Save Tutorial

If you’re like me and have a save lingering from the pre-‘point of no return’ days, and after wrapping up the ‘Transmission’ quest, you’re golden to launch the Phantom Liberty DLC.

  • Fire up your save file and hang tight for a buzz from Songbird. Once you get that call, you’re on the starting line for the Phantom Liberty quest line.
  • Now, chase the ‘Dog Eat Dog’ quest. It’ll lead you straight to Dogtown, where the DLC magic begins.

Note:

If you’ve already powered through the main Cyberpunk 2077 storyline, look for a specific ‘point of no return’ save. Pop that open, and not only will you get some cool rewards, but you’ll also unlock the Phantom Liberty goodies.

Additional Information:

In case your save is from the days before completing the ‘Transmission’ quest, continue the main game until the Voodoo Boys mission in Pacifica. Nail that mission and you’ll get the Songbird call, setting the stage for the Phantom Liberty ‘Dog Eat Dog’ quest.

Go for a pre-built V. These characters are good to go with all the attributes and skills set up.

How to Access DLC Content in Game>
