HELLDIVERS 2 – Efficient Resource Farming

HELLDIVERS 2 requires various collectible resources called Samples to upgrade your ship.

There are 3 tiers – Common (Green), Rare (Orange), and Super Rare (Pink). Here’s an overview:

Availability:

Common – Difficulty 1+
Rare – Difficulty 4+
Super Rare – Difficulty 7+
Higher difficulties have more samples. For example, Difficulty 9 has 30+ Common Samples vs less than 10 on Difficulty 1.

Super Rare Samples:

Only spawn in one location permission (except Arenas)
3 on Difficulty 7, 5 on Difficulty 8, 6 on Difficulty 9
Efficient Farming (In-Mission):

Ideally a 4 player team, but 3 or less works too. Bugs missions are better than Cyborgs since Bugs have limited-range attacks.

Setup:

3 players have clear objectives
1 “Scout” player searches for samples
This allows efficient farming when timers are short. The team can reinforce Scout if needed.

Tactics:

The team splits up early and moves in a grid pattern for support
Regroup after collecting to finish the mission
Pick up Samples from dead Scout to not lose them
Recommended Scout Loadout:

Armor: Scout armor for stealth

Strategems:

Shield Pack (survivability)
Orbital Railcannon (armored enemies)
Eagle/Orbital (mob clearance)
Flexible 4th strategem
Weapons: Any
