A short guide for the 06/15 update to help wanderers navigate the new levels.

 

Level 7

This level is expanded quite a bit. Take a boat and sail around those distant houses!

Be sure to check out the houses! They’re great for stocking up on much-needed supplies after the previous levels

Just be careful; the deeper into the level you go the foggier it will get!

How to escape?

Your goal is the opposite side of the village, sail straight through until to clear the fog

If you remove the shark cage, you will confront the Thing, and you will soon find yourself at the bottom of the ocean. When one of the cage’s walls opens, emerge and take a small right before swimming forward until you reach this outcropping. To be honest, the motion blur is the most dangerous aspect of this passage.

Level 8

THIS LEVEL HAS A FEMALE DEATH MOTH RIGHT AFTER THE STARTING DOORS, SO USE STEALTH TO AVOID LOSING ALL OF YOUR LEVEL 7 LOOT.

Moving on, welcome to the caves!

Please be advised that there are female death moths and skin thieves present in the caves. To avoid disturbing the moths, it is recommended that you leave your noisy rubber hazmat boots on level 7.

The caves have straightforward paths with branching passages that all lead to the same exit link. It is important to note that the FDM and skin stealers do not appear in the same regions of the caves.

How to escape?

This level’s first segment had me hunched. Basically, once you enter, follow the left wall to discover a meg checkpoint with stuff (in case you die like I did lol), then follow the right wall to the luminous mushrooms. Through the mushroom hole, you’ll discover a very direct path to a bridge and the first checkpoint.
With skin stealers, the next stage is extremely deadly.

They have flashlights, so turn yours off and try not to get in their line of sight (which is difficult because they have a limitless sight range gazing forward).

Follow the left wall until you reach the blue mushrooms, then wait for the first skin stealer to pass before continuing on. When you see a light approaching, run along the right wall until you reach the door.

Level 188

First and foremost, take a quick left and follow the left wall to get the door back to the hub!

There’s a locker up ahead and a strange sculpture related to it, a puzzle!

Another maze level 0, but this place has seen better days. At least the mold monster is the same.

The switches in this level are on a timer, after a few minutes a switch you hit will reset.

Solutions to the 2 puzzles in this level

The first puzzle involves clicking on the light and seeing what shape covers the number though the shadow

The second puzzle relies on the lights on in the rooms from the courtyard outside the room with the puzzle. Click the buttons that correspond to the lights.

Level 9

There’s only one direction to go, deeper.

Avoid staying outside too long; roaming monsters are looking for wanderers, be sure to head towards houses with lights.

Not all the houses are empty; there are level 6 monsters in some of the houses.
