Ada’s on a hunt – a bug hunt to be exact. The Bug Buster requests? They’re all about tracking down the Novistadors. And there are two of these challenges waiting for you.

Ada’s first taste of the bug-busting action starts in Chapter 5. Stumble upon a blue slip? You’ll find it on a crate right beside the Merchant. It’s tucked away in a hidden room past the Clocktower. The mission? Simple – terminate 3 Novistador bugs. They’re lurking around the Path of Penitence and a nearby cliff.

Know Your Bugs

Now, these bugs aren’t your usual flying nuisances. They’ve got a knack for blending in, especially on those rocky walls. But if something bug-shaped feels amiss, trust your gut.

Start at the maze with those bone-crushing pillars. Hit the yellow-painted lever, and as the pillars do their dance, peek above. You’ll find the first bug hovering past the first pillar. Aim, shoot, and onto the next!

Bug Location 2

Keep walking and you’ll come across an area with sandbags in the center. Once you’re past the pillars, glance up. Halfway up the stairs, nestled behind a wooden rafter and an overhang, our bug awaits. A pistol shot should do the trick.

Stick to the path until an open spot greets you, grenades at hand, and a towering stone building on your left. Cast your gaze upwards on the building’s face, and you’ll spot the third critter.

Finishing Up: Rewards Await

Wrap up the first Bug Buster challenge, and 8 x Spinels will be your reward. Whenever you’re ready, drop by any Merchant spot to claim them.

The Second Bug Buster Challenge

The Separate Ways DLCs’s got you covered. However, a bit more guidance might be handy here.

Bug Buster 2: Chapter 6

Chapter 6, on the Island, is where the Bug Buster 2 request kicks off. Find it dangling on an overlooked post right before stepping into the Defensive Line. And guess what? It’s another trio of Novistador bugs to eliminate. So brace yourself for another round of seek, spot, and shoot – all while dodging artillery.

Spotting the First Bug

Once you’ve nabbed the request, make the jump into the Defensive Line. And yep, stay sharp! There’s a military bunker with its eyes peeled. Don’t let them catch you; those steel barriers around are great for hiding. The moment you land, swivel left. The bug’s there, clinging to the cliff. Aim, eliminate, and carry on.

Where’s the Second Bug?

Alright, onto bug number two. First thing? You’ll want to climb out of that pit. Start by heading to the right side of the zone. Got your trusty I.R.I.S. scanner with you? Whip it out and it’ll unveil an outcrop you can grapple hook onto. Just like that, you’ll swing into a new space.

Now, a heads up – you’ve got some armed Ganado enemies hanging around. Best deal with them before diving into the bug hunt. Once the coast is clear, saunter down the path on your left. Spot a red fire barrel? Keep going and then quickly swivel right. See that watchtower? The sneaky Novistador bug’s clinging on its side. Give it a good shot, and that leaves us with one last bug.

And the Third Bug?

Okay, little pro tip: this third bug? It’s a tricky one. And if you’ve got a sniper rifle, especially with the Biosensor Scope attached, you’re in luck. This is its moment to shine.

Post your encounter with the second bug, take a 180° turn. Dash up the stairwell behind you, plunging into the next section. Keep marching forward, just bypassing that laser wall turret chilling on your right. Once you’re by the fence, hang a left and scamper up another set of stairs. Now, a bit of advice? Dodge those grenades. At the stair’s peak, another left awaits. You’ll spot a barricaded overlook. Time to get that sniper rifle ready. The Biosensor Scope’s crucial here, considering how tricky spotting that bug in the gloom can be.

Now, set your sights straight ahead. The elusive bug? It’s just hanging out on a cliff’s side, way across the complex. Line up your shot, breathe, and pull the trigger. And just like that, you’ve tackled the Bug Buster 2 challenge. Whenever you stumble upon the next Merchant spot, remember to cash in your request. As for the reward? A sweet bounty of 9 x Spinels awaits. Give yourself a pat on the back – you’ve just nailed the game’s final request!
