Jetpacks: What are they?

Jetpacks are a type of equippable item used in the Plaza and in Condos, mostly. Most jetpacks are just ones with normal colored trails, but some have special effects and looks. People use them to fly around and/or get places faster, so it’s essential to have one if you want to play this game.
 
 
 

Where to get Jetpacks

Most jetpacks are sold at Rob’s Imports, though there are some jetpacks available as milestones or in other stores, such as the Arcade shop.
 
 
The Simple Way:
 
 
First, we need to head to a plaza. You can do that from the main menu, any will suffice.
 

 
 
Next, you want to head over to Rob’s Imports, which is located to the left of the lobby as you as you leave the metro/train station.
 
 

 
 
After heading in, interact with the Telephone. ROb will call you and the shop menu will open up. Go ahead and click on Jetpacks & Magic.
 
 

 
 
As you can see, there’s a good selection of some pretty basic jetpacks. Once you have enough Units (made by playing Minigames and earning achievements), go ahead and buy one of them.
 
 

 
 
Like previously stated, you can also get them as milestones or from other shops, such as the Arcade. Feel free to look at those ones as well if you want something a little more fancy. They will take a bit more work to unlock/buy, so let’s stick with the basics for now. You may also skip having to go to the plaza by using Tower Express in the ESC menu. Just go to the search bar within and type “Jetpack”.
 
 

 
 
 

How to Equip a Jetpack (As well as any other item wearable)

For this, you’re gonna wanna press and hold the Q key, and a menu will show up on the very top of your screen. This is your Item and Wearable hotbars, respectively.
 
 

 
 
You want to click wearable, then the “Jetpacks” tab. Hover over your jetpack of choosing, click and drag it onto the wearables hotbar. (You may have to refresh your inventory if it doesn’t show up/doesn’t equip!)
 
 

 
 

 
 
Success! Hold Spacebar and you can now fly around to your hearts content! If you hold Control and Spacebar, you also fly in the direction your are looking, rather than just straight up.
