They Are Billions – Steps How to Edit Unit Building + Stats Guide [2021]

So I found out how to mod the unit and building stats and it turns out it’s really easy.

STEP 1.

• First you need 7-Zip, then find the file called ZXRules.dat in They are Billions main folder.
• Right click on that file, go to ” 7-Zip ” and choose “Pack up files…”
• A new window will appear where it needs password.
• So you type in the current password for 1.0.18 version of the game

Password for the 1.1.3 version of the game is:

2025656990-254722460-3866451362025656990-254722460-386645136334454FADSFASDF45345

• After you have copied and pasted this password, click ok.
• Now you will notice there is a folder called ZXRules where ZXRules.dat is inside, finally we can open and READ it.
• Change anything you like and when you feel you are done, we start with the next step, to put it back again so the game can use it.

STEP 2.

• Now right click on your modified ZXRules.dat and choose “Put to archives…”
• A new window will pop up that we have never seen before.

It needs to have these properties:

• Archive format: zip
• Compression level: Ultra
• Compression method: Deflate, not Deflate64
• Dictionary size: 32 KB
• Word size: 128
• Encryption method: ZipCrypto

As well as the exact same password we used before(1.0.18):

Password for the 1.1.3 version of the game is:

• When you are done just click on OK button.
• Now you will have a ZXRules.zip file, just rename it back to ZXRules.dat and paste it with the original one.
• Done! Now you can play with your modified units/buildings!
• Don’t forget to make a backup of the original ZXRules.dat just incase.
