General Tips

Don’t forget that while you can use left-click to interact with the objects on the screen, you also can use right-click to see the info on the objects in your inventory. In one episode of the game you have to right-click the object form your inventory to proceed. 
 
Sometimes TWoL softlocks on a blank dialogue window without any ability to progress further (in that case you have to restart the game and to reload from last savepoint). It is better to save regularly, almost on the every new screen you get. 
 
 
 

Act I: Part 1: Day at the Beach

1. After the intro cutscene, check if the game allowes you to move. If you don’t see the “loading” cursor that looks like a spinning gear, everything is fine. If not, don’t wait too long and restart the game. 
2. Go to the tank and inspect “Unexploded Merkava Rocket” that is stuck in its muzzle. Click on the action point named “War frontline” to proceed to the next screen. 
3. Press “Space” to see hints and take well-hidden “Lever” from the left part of the screen (“Metal lever” aquired). Click on the action point named “Iraqui forces”. Go back to the tank on a previous screen. 
4. Use “Metal lever” on “Unexploded Merkava Rocket” action point to aquire “An Unexploded Rocket”. Click on the action point named “To the River”. 
5. Click on the action point named “The River”. You have to complete the memory game (click on the landmines in a right order to proceed). As a result, an item called “War Mine” will appear at the inventory. The game will transfer you to the next screen automatically. 
6. Take the object named “Wire” from the upper side of the screen (“A piece of strong metal wire” aquired). Click on the action point named “Engine oil”. Click on the action point named “To the River”. 
7. Take the object named “A piece of linen cloth” (“Linen cloth” aquired). Go back. 
8. Use “Linen cloth” on “Engine oil” action point (“Oily cloth” aquired). Combine “Oily cloth” on “An Unexploded Rocket” in your inventory (“Ready to explode rocket” aquired). Click on the action point named “To the Ditch”. 
9. Click on the action points named “A ditch” and “Iraqi soldiers” (you cannot proceed further without that because they activate the “River” script). Don’t try to use any object on “Iraqi soldier” because that may activate the bug that softlocks the game. Go back to the previous screen. 
10. Click on the action point named “To the River”. 
11. Click on the action point named “The River”. 
12. Click on the action point named “Container”. 
13. Take the object named “A long metal rod” from the right-bottom part of the screen (“Long and strong shaft” aquired). Go to the previous screen. 
14. Click on the action point named “The other side of the river”. 
15. Use “Long and strong shaft” on the action point named “Ring”. Use “A piece of strong metal wire” on the action point named “Place to connecting the wire”. Use “Ready to Explode Rocket” on the action point named “Wire”. Watch the magnificent cutscene. 
16. Click on the action point named “Container”. 
17. Click on the action point named “A security lock” (that acrivates the “Mirror” script). Go back. 
18. Take “Mirror” from the sand. Yes, in this game you have to activate triggers before you can do an obvious act, and so you need to move back and forth between the same screens all the time. Click on the action point named “Container” again. 
19. Use “Mirror” on the action point named “A security lock”. After that you have to play a mini game in which you need to click on three black squares on the upper half of the container door until all of them will react with a special “loud clicking” sound of the opening lock. 
 
 
 

Act I: Part 2: Night at the Beach

20. Is that a night already?! How?! Anyway, click on the action point named “Wire”, then take “Diagonal pliers” from the left-bottom side of the screen and the object named “Little bit anesthetic” (that stands on the same table). Use “Diagonal pliers” on the “Wire” action point (“Uncoated wire” aquired). Use “Uncoated wire” on the “Lightning system” action point. Watch the cutscene. You will be automatically teleported to the next screen. 
21. Click on the action points named “The river” and “Back”. 
22. Take the object named “A military metal package” from the tall grass in case of trouble use “Space” to see a hint (“Canned fish” aquired). Click on the action point named “To Ditch”. 
23. Click on the action point named “Iraqi soldiers”. Use “Diagonal pliers” from the inventory on “Iron fence” action point (that is on the left part of the screen). Watch cutscene. 
 
 
 

Act II: Part 1: Scripted Semi-Stealth Section

24. You are in a new location. Put the cursor up to open your inventory. Right-click on the object named “Canned fish” (then the object named “Canned tuna has been opened” will be aquired). In inventory, combine “Canned tuna has been opened” with “A little bit anesthetic” (Who in the world translated this game?! English is not my native language, but this is hilarious even for me!); an item “Poisoned Canned fish” is aquired (see how the protagonist stated that the fish is “not poisoned” right before you aquired the item with such a name). 
25. Click on the watch dog that is running back and forth on the road. Take a “Piece of wood board” from the right part of the screen. Only after that our hero is ready to handle the “Poisoned Canned fish” to the watch dog. The game will transfer you to the new screen automatically. 
26. Use “Diagonal pliers” on the “Fence” action point. 
27. Click on the action point named “Locker room!” in the center of the screen (it may seem like this building is impenetrable, but no – unlike player, protagonist can see its door). Our hero mentions that he want to have a “closer inspection” of the enemy base. Click “Locker room!” again and he will enter it anyway. 
28. Click on “Dresser” action point. Take “An iron hanger” and “Work uniform” (“A hanger”, “Iraqi worker uniform” and “ID card” aquired); click action point named “Return” on a right-bottom part of the screen. In inventory, click on “Worker uniform” to change main hero’s dress. Exit the room (go to the previous screen). 
29. Click on the action point named “The basement” on the bottom of the screen. 
30. Click on the action point named “Continue the Path”. 
31. Click on the action point named “Control room”. 
32. Click on the action points named “Locked dresser” and “Dresser”. 
33. Take “A tester-screwdriver!”. Click on the action point named “Close” on the left-bottom part of the screen. 
34. Click on the action points named “Dirty dresser”, “Closed dresser” and “Continue the Path”. 
35. Take an object named “Piece of thin barbed wire!”. Click on the action point named “Upstairs”. Here starts that ducking walking simulator section – arguably, the worst part of the game. 
 
 
 

Act II: Part 2: That Ducking Walking Simulator Section

36. Click on the action point named “Continue the path”. 
37. Click on the action point named “Rest room?!”. It’s obvious that we have to go there very soon. But at first this game wants us to go to the other side of the map and to activate all of the scripts. Go to the previous screen. 
38. Click on the action point named “The other side”. 
39. Click on the action points named “Locked room”, “Changing room”, “Closed room” and “Handrail”. It seems like you have to interact with every closed door on the screen AND the handrail, or the “Rest room with the keys” script will not be activated. Click on the action point named “Behind the building”. 
40. Click on the action points named “A complex and thorough junction box!”, “Main control room” and “Intricate technical mechanisms”. Here goes the most absurd moment of the game: you have to click on the left part of the screen to make our hero go to the next screen, but… there is no clear action point to do it! And the “Space” button can’t help you either! Developers simply forgot to add the hint, and so the game breaks its own rules! See screenshot below to know where to click to get to the next screen and how this screen should look like.

41. On this “secret” screen click on the action point named “Handrail” (in other case the “Rest room” script will not be activated). Go back to the previous screen, and then all the way back to “Continue the path” and “Rest room?!”. Go into this ducking rest room. 
42. Click on the action point named “Keys” and take the “Master key” nearby (“Key” aquired). Go to the previous screen. 
43. Click on the action point named “Return”. 
44. Click on the action point named “The other side”. 
45. Use “Key” on the “Locked door” on the left part of the screen. 
46. Click on the action point named “Upstairs”. 
47. Click on the far part of the handrail (there is no action point again). 
48. Click on the action point named “Lock”. The door on the floor is locked, so we have to make all the way back… to the “Rest room”! That will activate the script that makes hero change his mind and to think about something that will destroy the lock! 
49. Go all the way back to the “Rest room”. The guard won’t let us go. The game transfer us to the other screen automatically. 
50. Click on “Mini-turbine” action point. Use “A tester-screwdriver” from the inventory on the “Mini-turbine”. After beating a simple “maze” mini-game (see screenshot for a hint) you’ll aquire “A metal blade”.

50. Combining time! In your inventory, combine “A hanger” with “Barbed wire” (“Hanger + Wire” aquired). Combine “A metal blade” with “Hanger + Wire” (“Coping Saw” aquired). Combine “Diagonal pliers” with “A piece of wood” (“Wood + Diagonal pliers” aquired). And now, combine “Wood + Diagonal pliers” with “Diagonal pliers” (“[isolated] Diagonal pliers” aquired). Everything’s done! Click on the action point named “The other side”. 
51. Click on the action point named “Locked room”. 
52. Click on the action point named “Upstairs”, and on the next screen go to the end of handrail to see the lock. 
53. Use the “Coping saw” on “Lock”. You will be automatically teleported to the next screen. 
54. Save the game. Use “Time bomb” on the “Main controllers” action point on the left-bottom part of the screen. Before the countdown ends, press action point named “Exit”. Play a simple mini-game where you have to put the cursor up and perform left-click three times in a row. Watch the cutscene. 
 
 
 

Act III: Part 1: The Walking Simulator Continues

55. Use “ID Card” on unnamed Iraqui soldier action point. You will be transferred to the next screen automatically. If soldier took your card but nothing happened, it’s a bug – reload the game from the last savepoint. 
56. Click on the action point named “To the main area”. 
58. Click on the action point named “To prison”. 
59. On the next screen, сlick on the action point that is also named “To prison”. 
60. Click on unnamed Iraqui soldier action point, then on the action point named “Metal fence”, then on the action point named “Prison door” on the left side of the screen. After that click on “Wireless radio” action point near the head of the soldier (it seems like you need all of that to activate the “Telecommunications” script). Click on the action point named “Return”.

61. Click on the action point named “Back”. 
62. Click on the action point named “To the main area”. 
63. Click on the action point named “Telecommunications and wireless room”. Wireless room? Whut? 
64. Click on the action point named “Substation” (that will activate “Staircase” script). Go to the previous screen. 
65. Click on the action point named “To prison”. 
66. Click on the action point named “Staircase”. 
67. Click on the action points named “Fan” and “Air-conditioner” (that will activate “Warehouse” script). Go to the previous screen. 
68. Click on the action point named “Back”.

77. Click on “Fan” to start the mini-game in which you have to fill the blank spaces on a microscheme guessing the right shape of the transistors (see the screenshot for a hint). 87. Click on the unnamed action point to talk to the man repairing the truck. Give him “Hammer-wrenches” from the inventory. Play the mini-game in which you have to click four or six times on the every of four bolts on the panel (that’s not even a “game”, just a simple clicker). You will be transferred to the next screen automatically. 
88. Click on the action point named “To Entrance”. 
89. Click on the action point named “Entrance”. 
90. Take “Wire” from the upper side of the screen. Click on the action point named “Cockpit”. 
91. Save the game. Click on the action point named “Secret hatch”. 
92. Click on the action point named “Briefcase”. 
93. Now, be careful. If you’ll try to use ANYTHING on “Briefcase”, the game will softlock itself (see the screenshot) and you’ll have to quit it and reload. 
94. Instead, click on the action point named “A powerful battery”. Use “A piece of strong metal wire” on “A powerful battery”. Watch the cutscene.

95. On the next screen, click on the action point named “Back”. 
96. Click on the action point named “Under the bridge”. 
97. Use “War mine” on “Under bridge” action point. Watch the cutscene. Surprise! We won’t go back to prison to release our friend – the story will simply jump to the point where he’s already free and the duo of main heroes are running from the enemy forces. And after that a new story ark starts! It seems like someone was too low on time or money to complete this episode properly, so it was left strangely “cutted”. 
 
 
 

Act IV: The Twist No One Asked For

98. Take the “Audio recorder” from the plant pot near the window. Take “Some molding powder!” from the window. The new unnamed active point will appear at the upper corner of the room – click it. After that click on the action point named “Exit”. 
99. Click on the action point named “To Andan Office” (it seems like without that the “Andan Office” script won’t be activated later). After that click on the action point named “Corridor”. 
100. Click on the action point named “Archive Room (Hajyaghoob Room)”. 
101. Take an object named “Archive key” (small action point near the door). Click on the unnamed action point on the center of the man in a white robe near the security door. Watch the cutscene. After that click on the action points named “Door lock” and “Security door” (that will activate the “Andan Office” script). Click on the action point named “Back” to go to the previous screen. 
102. Click on the action point named “Corridor”. 
103. Click on the action point named “To Andan Office”. Watch the cutscene. 
104. Go to the “Archive Room (Hajyaghoob Room)” again. 
105. Click on the action points named “Half-empty glass of water” (on the table), “Door lock” and “Security door”. Use “Some molding powder!” on “Half-empty glass of water” (“Molding paste” aquired). 
106. Use “Molding paste” on “Door lock”. Play “matching” mini-game that can be finished only while combining every “upper part of the key” with every “lower part of the key” on screen (see the screenshot below for solution). Watch the cutscene. You will be teleported to the next screen automatically.

107. Click on the action point named “Warehouse” on the right side of the screen.

Additional note

On my first playthrough I somehow managed to get the extra-item for inventory that was never used in the walkthrough. It was a “Rope” that looked more like bootlaces. I aqured it in a scene in a room with four dressers in a row; see points 32)-34) from “Act II: Part 1” fragment of the text. I remember that I gained it at the same time while I clicked action points on dressers – it seems like I also clicked on main hero or his boots, and as the result “Rope” was added to my inventory. 
 
Similar episode was in other game from RSK Entertaimen titled “Qajary Cat”, where you had to click on the protagonist to get the item, so this version is plausible. But at my second playtrough (that I needed to perform to write the walkthrough) I could not gain the “Rope”/ bootlaces. And I still don’t know exactly how I got it in a previous time. 
 
Also, “Rope” could be combined with “Diagonal pliers” (see the inventory on a screenshot below), but this item was never needed in the game.
