Hello and welcome, We hope you find this The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution – How to improve performance for Oculus users guide useful.

Stop walking around killing people in 15fps

Please read…

This guide only applies to games that launch through the Oculus PC application. It’s not clear if it will work for everyone. It is still quite buggy so it may not work for everyone.

The (Potential!) Fix

1. Launch the game

2. Close SteamVR

SteamVR can also be closed by closing it through the browser. Yeah, that’s it. You could also just click the “Play” button within your library to launch SteamVR. SteamVR running in a background caused some serious performance issues that made it impossible to properly run the game. This was strange, because the original Oculus game (which is what I bought through the Oculus Retail store) ran great on my computer.

This worked for my:

-Quest 2 + Oculus Link (72Hz)

-i3 10100f

-GTX 1660Super

-16gb Ram

-Windows 10

(The game runs at 80% resolution with low graphic settings. I’m under minimum requirements)

Please correct me if I am wrong. I have no idea if anyone else has posted this somewhere.
