Hello and welcome, In this guide, we will tell you all about The Swordsmen X: Survival – Gear and Items Upgrade Following this guide step by step.
A basic guide for gear upgrade possibilities.
Introduction
Overview of Enhancement Items
The Swordsmen X: Survival has several options for improving gear and weapon stats:
Item | Gear |
---|---|
Armour Plates | Used for armour: Head, clothes, trousers, and shoes. |
Sharpening Stones | Used for melee weapons. |
Spirit Stones and Gems | Armour and melee weapons |
NB: Accessories, masks, bows, and arrows cannot be enhanced.
Armour Plates and Sharpening Stones have different effects depending on their level: From 1 to 9 (lowest to highest). These two sorts of improvement items are extremely frequent and can be discovered in chests and boxes, as well as looted from monsters. The higher the zone level, the higher the level of the patches and sharpening stones.
Zone level can be determined from the levels of monsters enhabiting it: The HP gauge of every monster has a circle with a Chinese numeral indicating its level (bosses are the only exception):
一 1
二 2
三 3
å›› 4
五 5
å… 6
七 7
NB: No level 7 and 8 Armour Plates and Sharpening Stones exist. Level 9 follows level 6.
The enhancement effects of the Spirit Stones depend on their colour (see below). Blue Spirit Stones are the easiest to obtain: They are a relatively common drop when mining high-level ores. Red, Green, and Yellow Spirit Stones are uncommon drops from monsters (including bosses) and chests/boxes in high-level zones.
Gems are lesser versions of Spirit Stones. Small Saphire is a standard drop when mining Iron ore with mid or higher-tier tools. Red and Yellow Lingshi Fragments and Little Emerald are dropped from low and mid-tier boxes/chests and monsters (including mini-bosses).
Gear Enhancement Steps
The enhancement process is straightforward and requires no special preparations, tools, or skills. Enhanced gear can be re-enhanced by applying a new enhancement item. A new one will permanently replace the old enhancement.
To improve your gear, follow these steps:
- Add enhancing items and gear to your inventory. It is possible to improve equipped gear without having to unequip it.
- Right-click an improvement item (Armour Plate, Sharpening Stone, Spirit Stone, or Gem): The inventory view immediately goes to the gear tab (the sword icon).
- Left-click the item you want to improve.
- Follow the prompts and select ‘Confirm’.
If you made a mistake, chose the wrong item, or changed your mind, close inventory or press ESC to abort the enhancement process.
Armour Plates
Armour Plates are enhancement options for armour: Head, clothes, trousers, and shoes. The effects are the same for all armour pieces.
There are three types of plates in the game:
- increase HP by [modifier up to 110] (look for this hanzi in the description of the effects è¡€*)
- increase internal injury defence (Qi defence) by [modifier from 1 to 6] (look for this hanzi in the description of the effects å…§)
- increase trauma defence (Physical defence) by [modifier from 1 to 6] (look for this hanzi in the description of the effects 外)
* è¡€ means ‘blood’ or ‘health’ in Chinese, if you see it in a game term, likely, it is somehow related to HP
