Bored of getting killed by a weird pissman? Never fear, solution is here! In this guide youll learn something about Jarmen and how to counter them.

Origins

The first Jarman appeared just after May 21st back in 2009 (when Jarate was added to Team Fortress 2).

Diversity

When Jarate was added, after approximately 1 year and 3 months Jarmen began to evolve. We think the reason for this is because of new melee weapons added in Team Fortress 2, Bushwacka and Tribalman’s Shiv. These weapons made Jarmen much more of a threat because Bushwacka, when combined with Jarate, can 1 shot almost every class, and Tribalman’s Shiv could fataly damage any enemy that is tossed with Jarate. Moving on, October 23rd 2013 and October 29th 2014. The times when Sir Shootsalot (owl head cosmetic for sniper) and Mr. Mundee’s Wild Ride (emu cosmetic for sniper) were added to the game. Now this is where Great Jarmen Dispute War comes. We all know that Australia is famous for its species variety, so some Jarmen wanted to go a step further by putting on Sir Shootsalot to make everyone understand they’re dedicated Jarmen and a Sniper main. However, those who didnt like Owl idea got their chance when Mr. Mundee’s Wild Ride was added. Those who didn’t want to put any of those cosmetics either stopped to main Jarman and started normally played sniper. Some kept playing as a Jarman but they are in very small number, and some broke codex and rules of playing Jarman by using their primary and jarate, we call them Filthy Jarmen.

Great Jarmen Dispute War (GJDW)

It started after 29th of October in 2014 (after Mr. Mundee’s Wild Ride was added). Now this war is really long and since its start it didn’t end to this day. It’s bassicly filled with rascism and hate.
Probable reason for it’s start was the need to proove which cosmetic pictured Australia better, Sir Shootsalot or Mr. Mundee’s Wild Ride. At first there were just small arguments but with time it grew into war where genocides were comitted by both sides. Luckily no side is winning and in 2020 the war calmed down. Probably because people were too busy kicking bots and taking care to not get infected by COVID-19 than to fight. However, this does not mean that theres still not some dispute and fight between 2 sides.

How to counter them

If you are not facing a Filthy Jarman, you can easily counter them just by keeping your distance or with fast moves.
If you are playing a class that needs to get close to do damage or more damage (pyro, scout, heavy, etc.) try to make a Jarman to miss their Jarate throw and then approach them.

Conclusion

Due to their rarety and somewhat of a friendliness, Jarmen have been classified as an Endangered-Silly Species. If you see a Jarman in any community server try to interact with them and always be ready to dodge their Jarate. They are agressive only when someone is tossed in Jarate.
