Stardew Valley – Gourmet Chef Achievement Guide (Supports 1.5 Content) 1 - steamlists.com
Acquiring all of the recipes is hard enough, but getting the ingredients can take even longer. This guide will outline how to get each recipe and just what you need to grow, fish and gather for all of the recipes and how to get each item.

Preamble

Before the player can begin to cook, they need the recipes first. The first half of this guide will outline just how to get each and every recipe. After that, the total amounts of all ingredients will be listed and organized by season and method of acquiring. If you are looking for a specific recipe, use ctrl+f and then type in the search bar what recipe your looking for.

Since you need to go to Ginger Island to get some of the ingredients, you’ll have to finish the community center. If you need help with that, here’s a https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2470877532 Alternatively, you could finish Joja Mart instead.

Queen Of Sauce

Queen Of Sauce is a television channel that is broadcasted every Sunday and Wednesday. On Sundays, new recipes will be shown. Note: Queen Of Sauce premieres on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th of every month. Some recipes can be bought from Gus instead, but I don’t like spending money, so just get them from Queen Of Sauce.

If you need help on what gifts to give, you can look up the character and find out what they love. Note: All recipes from characters will be given via a letter in the mail unless specifically stated otherwise.

Ingredients

Now that you have all of the recipes, you can begin to gather the ingredients. If you’re still working on friendship, getting to Ginger Island, or missed an episode of Queen Of Sauce, you could begin gathering the ingredients while your doing that. Although you only technically need 3 fridges to store all of the ingredients, you should get at least 4 since items can be different qualities. That can cause 8 tomatoes to take up 4 slots if they’re different qualities. If you think you might accidentally use up the ingredients you should be saving, use chests instead.

Important– Some recipes call for a specific fish(or other type of item), while others say any fish can be used. When cooking these recipes you may use a fish you needed for another dish, so don’t cook any of the dishes until all of the ingredients have been gathered unless you are 100% sure it won’t cause problems. At the end of the guide, I will outline the order in which you should cook the dishes. It may not seem important, but trust me, it is. All items are available year one unless specifically said otherwise. You only need one of each item unless stated otherwise.

Since most fish can be caught in multiple seasons, I have decided to list the fish in the season that they can be obtained earliest. After all, its better to get everything sooner so you can get the achievement sooner. I did the same with all multi season ingredients.

All foraged goods can be found throughout the valley unless stated otherwise. It’s usually the easiest to get them in Cindersap Forest, but they can also be found in Pelican Town and in the backwoods.

Note that you need seaweed, green algae, and white algae for dishes so don’t throw them away.

Although you can grow anything during any season on Ginger Island or in the greenhouse, all items will be included in the category for the season that they grow when outside in Pelican Town.

Winter

Since Winter is a light season in terms of amount of ingredients needed, you should probably get started on gathering the “all seasons” items. Just be sure to prioritize the things that can only be acquired in Winter.

Foraging

  • Winter Root– These can be found by tilling soil and hitting worm spots with your hoe in Winter. They’re also a rare drop from blue slimes on floors 40-79 in the mines and in the secret forest.

  • 22 Wheat Flour– Purchased from Pierre’s General Store for 100g a piece.

Crab Pot Items

Since they are all obtained and used in the same way, I’ll only show where the crab pots need to be placed to get the item.

  • Crayfish– Freshwater.
  • Snail– Freshwater.
  • 2 Periwinkle– Freshwater.
  • Clam– Ocean. Also obtained from beach foraging, which is much easier.
  • Mussel– Ocean. Also obtained from beach foraging, which is much easier.
  • Crab– Ocean. Also dropped by rock crabs and lava crabs in the mines.
  • Lobster– Ocean.

  • Bream– Caught in rivers from 6pm to 2am during any weather.
  • 2 Of Any Fish– Literally any fish works. You likely caught a lot of other fish while trying to get the ones you need. Pick two of them and save them with all of your other ingredients.
  • Seaweed– Caught in the ocean during any season and at anytime.
  • 5 Green Algae– Can be caught in any place at anytime except the pond on the farm.
  • 2 White Algae– Can be caught in the mines, mutant bug lair, the sewers, and the swamp. It can also drop from slimes.

The Cooking Process

Finally. After the arduous process of gathering all of the ingredients, we can begin cooking. This should only take a few minutes. I stated this earlier, but I’ll restate it now; The dishes should be cooked in the order shown to avoid using the wrong ingredients and then having to re-gather things from a season that won’t happen for another year. For example, you may accidentally use a largemouth bass for the sashimi which uses any fish. Now you don’t have a largemouth bass for the crispy bass.

First, cook the following dishes in any order: Baked Fish, Fried Calamari, Lucky Lunch, Strange Bun, Carp Surprise, Salmon Dinner, Fish Taco, Crispy Bass, Tom Kha Soup, Trout Soup, Fried Eel, Spicy Eel, Dish o’ The Sea, Seafoam Pudding, Algae Soup, Pale Broth, Chowder, Fish Stew, Escargot, Lobster Bisque, Crab Cakes, and Shrimp Cocktail. That should be all of the fish dishes. You should have two random fish left. If you don’t, make sure you cooked everything from the list.

Now, cook 1 omelet, 3 bread, 2 tortillas, 1 pancake, 2 hashbrowns, and 1 fried egg. Do not sell or eat these dishes. They act as ingredients, so we are not done with them. Do not craft too many or you’ll have to re-gather ingredients.

Lastly, you may now cook all of the remaining dishes.

Conclusion

Getting all the recipes was hard, and gathering every ingredient needed likely took quite some time and effort, but you should have emerged victorious with the Gourmet Chef Achievement as your trophy. Congratulations.

End Note – On the off chance I happened to miss something or accidentally described an item wrong, please comment below.
