Welcome to Quaver – How to Quaver on Linux Guide.
Helpful information. Quaver is difficult to use when running on Linux. The game will not start, there are problems with the audio, and it cannot even see its server. Scores cannot be uploaded, and beatmaps cannot be downloaded. Let’s fix it.
Steam preferences
First, open Preferences by right-clicking the game in your Library. Let’s fix the problem with the game not launching. Paste this code in the box labeled Launch Options
DOTNET_SYSTEM_GLOBALIZATION_INVARIANT=1 %command%
Now your game is ready to go! While we’re there, let’s fix problems with beatmap download and score submission!
Switch the drop-down box to Canary by going to the Betas tab. It’s now working!
Go to the local file tab and click Browse. We’ll be entering the config!
Quaver.cfg
Scroll down to find quaver.cfg. This is the file that we’re going to edit!
It can be opened in any text editor you prefer and searched.
DeviceBufferLengthMultiplier
It can be changed to 10 or higher!
