Much like the previous title which garnered much praise from fans and critics alike, Nioh 2 contains an original profound story surrounding military commanders from the Sengoku period. However, Nioh 2 goes above and beyond its predecessor by including the new Yokai Shift ability which allows the protagonist to utilize new powerful forms to defeat even the most formidable yokai in battle. Nioh 2 makes all Souls game look easy in comparison. The damage enemies put out here is high and everything kills you in 2-4 hits while being fast and aggressive. Get the l*be ready because you are gonna need it.

Combat is incredibly deep with 3 different stance styles for each of the many weapons. Ki pulse you will either learn or uninstall the game calling it trash.

Decent character creator but couldn’t make my ideal waifu like in Code Vein.

Don’t check the achievements since they didn’t bother to put any under the spoiler section if you care about the story.

12.4hrs on the first play session and I gotta say it’s great. Everything that made Nioh great with all sorts of new additions to make this even better than the original. THIS is how Souls like co-op should be. Runs and looks amazing for me (All AMD build). Heard some people with Nividia having issues but my friend runs it in 4k fine with his. I’ve been playing in 2k and get a steady 100+fps minimum. Magic is actually useful in this game compared to Nioh 1 where it was kinda meehh. Don’t expect the game to be easier than the first cause it surly is not. The level/world design is 1000% better than the first game, much bigger and way more variety. Character customization is really good, skill trees are great. Only real bug ive come by is when my friend and I summon someone’s AI copy of their character to fight with us, sometimes the AI bot will rubber band or fall off a ladder and knock me off who is below them. Great job overall, very pleased with how this turned out.

MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE

Look, if you like the Nioh games – the game works fine.

I have a 2070 mobile edition, and the game works perfect right out of the box. People complaining about 4k ♥♥♥♥ and whatever, can have their complaints if they want, but I don’t think the game should be ♥♥♥♥ on purely because your get frame dips when pushing the game to theoretical maximum.

Don’t review bomb this – the game is just a better version of it’s PS4 counterpart, and it’s now on Steam with the DLC included.

The keyboard and mouse support is almost nonexistent. This is not acceptable for PC port.
I’m struggling with the controls more than the enemies in the game.

Game is so, so good but I can’t recommend right now. Am running an RTX 3080 and R9 5900x and am getting frame drops to 25 fps… Will update the review to recommended when its fixed. Game is really, really good though.

Gods be good, these frame rate drops! 2080 ti, post processing off, shadows down and and it STILL dips sub 30 like nobody’s business!
My recommendations – wait few weeks, community patch must help. Devs are lazy AF, and PC port team need a good, feudal japan style whipping in a village square. Bring vinegar!

Did i say game game is good tho? Yeh, game’s good!

UPD.
To all the smartasses:
i9 900k@4GHz, ram checks out and HDD got nothing to do with particle physics optimization. GPU stated above. Virus protection always active and is green. Only potato here is YO MAMA (as custom dictates).

Now – as per advice of some good folks above “effects” are indeed the culprit. Knock them down to low – game runs great. Thanks for the tip!
Still, a S H I T portjob, tho.

UPD UPD.
Thanks to Bonkripper below and testing they did (and i can confirm) we can narrow problem some more.
There is indeed conflict with setting effects to high and FPS lock to 120. Dropped it to 60, High effects go PERFECTLY. Smooths as anime girls butt cheeks weeb might say!
Cheers, smartbro!

UPD*3.
Doubted myself a little (thanks comment trolls). Gone and updated drivers from 460.something to current 461.40.
Can confirm this had zero effect on framelock glitch.

Is It Worth Buy?

The game has a good amount of bad reviews from players, but at the same time the game has a large number of players online right now, so we expect overall the game is not bad, but we can’t really suggest it is worth buying the game or not … but we can say like a percent at least Yes 75%No 25%, we believe you can have fun playing the game but the same time they still have problems with the game. If you are okay playing games that they just release then go for it, but if you want to play the game that has fewer problems then wait a few days and hope the developers will fix them soon.

Hope this post helps you decide if you want to buy Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition or not, if you want to we add some reviews and info please let us know via comments 🙂 Thanks
