Hollow Knight – How to jump

Before we start

Before we start, I am reffering to the Ps4 controller bindings in this guide

Basic jump

Press X on your controller, gg bro 
 
 
 

Long height jump

When you jump from some bigger distances you might notice a long lasting animation, I was never sucessful with this but theories are that if you go to options screen right before you land you can stop the animation, if I get sucessful I will set this as a 100% sure thing 
 
 
 

Pogo jump

You can down slash(Check my other guide “How to strike with your nail” for more details) on enemies or some structures to get propelled in the air by a small boost 
 
 
 

Double jump

You can double jump by getting Monarch Wings in the Ancient Basin by defeating the Broken Vessel kDetailed guide on getting abilities coming soon) then press X and when you’re at the desired height press X again and you’ll jump again
