I created this guide so that I had a cross reference between all the types of exorcisms and the evidence and ghost types that they are related to. Sometimes you hit the Exorcism step before you actually get the evidence. And sometimes it’s nice to know at-a-glance what evidence is associated with that step. (At least it gives you a hint as to what you should be looking for.)

Evidence and Ghost Types based on Exorcism Method

Use Salt on the Ghost (Shotgun, floor, etc…)

Evidence: EMF 3/4
Ghost Type: None

Exorcism Book

Evidence: Spirit Box:EVP, Voices in the House
Ghost Type: Daemon

Flash the Ghost

Evidence: Scan 9P_NONE, Scan 1N_L120
Ghost Type: Shadow

Get the Ghost to Touch the Tiger Eye Stone

Evidence: Scan 9P_350, Scan DX_E950
Ghost Type: None

Destroy the Pentacle with Holy Water

Evidence: Book Writing, Wall Writing
Ghost Type: None

Hit Ghost with Holy Water

Evidence: Book Drawing, Wall Drawing
Ghost Type: None

Shoot Ghost with the Neutrino Gun

Evidence: EMF 5
Ghost Type: Poltergeist

Light Incense Stick near Ghost

Evidence: Temperature: Zero
Ghost Type: None

Light Incense Stick in “Dread Room” until burned out.(The room with orbs)

Evidence: Temperature: Negative
Ghost Type: None

Destroy Cursed Item (with high OCC) with the Neutrino Gun

Evidence: Spirit Box: Radio
Ghost Type: Revenant

Exorcism Methods based on Evidence

EMF

EMF 3/4 = Destroy Ghost with Salt
EMF 5 = Hit the Ghost with the Neutrino Gun

Entity Scans

9P_NONE = Flash the Ghost with the Instant Camera
1N_L120 = Flash the Ghost with the Instant Camera
9P_350 = Get the Ghost to touch the Tiger Eye Stone
DX_E950 = Get the Ghost to touch the Tiger Eye Stone

Temperature Evidence

Temperature: Zero = Light the Incense Stick near the Ghost
Temperature: Negative = Light the Incense Stick in the “Dread Room” (Room with Orbs) until Burnt Out

Writing Evidence

Book Writing = Destroy the Pentacle with the Holy Water
Book Drawing = Hit the Ghost with Holy Water
Wall Writing = Destroy the Pentacle with the Holy Water
Wall Drawing = Hit the Ghost with Holy Water

Audio Evidence

Spirit Box: EVP = Read from the Exorcism Book
Spirit Box: Radio = Destroy a Cursed Item (high OCC) with the Neutrino Gun
Voice in the House = Read from the Exorcism Book

Exorcism Method based on Ghost Type

Child = None
Revenant = Destroy Cursed Item (High OCC) with Neutrino Gun
Shadow = Flash the Ghost with the Instant Camera
Poltergeist = Hit the Ghost with the Neutrino Gun
Daemon = Read from the Exorcism Book
