Welcome to Forspoken – Basic Controller Setup Guide.

A simple tutorial on how to enable the trigger and haptic feedback capabilities on your PS5 controller. They are ineffective if you launch the game (at least for me).

Set up the controller

Are you trying to use your PS5 controller, but it doesn’t give you any feedback on the triggers?

First, make sure to use a cable, not Bluetooth. This can cause problems.

Now, let’s get to the problem. To ensure that the controller functions appropriately, it is essential to disable the steam input.

Right-click on Forspoken to do this. Next, click on “Properties”. You will then be able to access the “CONTROLLER” settings. Once you’re there, you can select “Disable steam input” to access the “OVERRIDE for FORSPOKEN” setting. Click the small blue arrow to the right to do this.

If your settings under “Steam”, ->”Settings”, ->”Controller,” and “General Controller Settings”, have the PS5 Controller Support enabled (at least, that’s what it is for me), then you should be able fully enjoy your controller, the trigger, and haptic feedback.
