This guide will show you how to easily go infinite (, or as close as Prestige Mode allows you to).

The Goal

Dome Keeper, greetings! This guide will show you how to stay in Prestige Mode until your have mined every resource. This will allow you to earn thousands of points and get the opportunity to claim the My name will be known achievement.

This guide assumes that you have completed a few runs in normal mode. We won’t be covering gameplay basics. Because the strategy calls for it, you will need to be able reach a certain point in Prestige Mode by yourself.

Unfortunately, the Prestige map doesn’t have infinite resources. We won’t be able to continue mining if we run out of resources. However, it is large enough to allow you to run for several hours with thousands of blocks mined. Let’s get started!

Recommended dome

Dome type

This strategy is possible with the Sword dome but it will be more effective with Laser dome. When you start, I recommend that you choose the Laser dome and aim for the Double laser upgrade.

Defensive gadget

This strategy can be used with any defensive gadget that you are most proficient at. You should avoid projectile reflecting upgrades to your defensive gadget, since we are trying to keep one flying enemy alive. You should avoid the withering upgrades to the monster repellant.

The Setup

We need the following things to help us reach our goal of (close to) infinite mining and dome keeping:

  1. The Stun Laser module
  2. The Teleporter module
  3. Basic defenses and resources, up to the modules that have the required upgrades

As you can see, we won’t have the ability to launch the strategy from the beginning. We will need to use a lot of iron and water. We must also be lucky with the available modules, as we will be able gather more points the sooner we can acquire the laser and teleporter.

You can start a limited version by upgrading the stun laser to properly, but you won’t reach your maximum potential until the Teleporter is fully powered.

1. The Stun Laser

You will need everything except damage upgrades to get the laser. This is how your upgrade tree should look:

I repeat, DO NOT gets the damage upgrades, which ruin the entire strategy!

2. The Teleporter

You will eventually need every upgrade for the teleporter. You can save the range upgrade for later if you have limited resources. It’s mostly for convenience.

3. Reach mid-game

This guide assumes that you can reach mid-game by yourself. This means that you must be able to find the required modules and upgrade materials. You also need to stay alive by upgrading your character’s offense/defense and staying alive.

The strategy

We will use a stall strategy that will allow us to stay on one monster wave for long periods of times while still being able go mining.

How it works

The Stun Laser and the basic flying monster are the basis of the first part. Dome Keeper - Infinite mining + Strategy & Upgrades - The strategy - FF95457The Stun laser with full cooldown/movespeed/AI upgrades will be able to always fire at the flying monster before the monster can fire at your dome. The laser will go into cooldown and the monster will move to a new location. The laser can reposition and keep up the monster thanks to the upgrades. A monster shot can slip through without full upgrades, eventually reducing your dome health. The AI upgrade is necessary so you can continue mining while the Stun laser keeps you safe.

Once you have all the necessary upgrades, you can play a wave as usual, but leave one flying creature unaffected. The Stun Laser will keep the flying monster stun locked until all other monsters are dead. This won’t last forever, unfortunately. Although we avoided any damage upgrades for this damage laser, it will still do 0.01 damage in its basic form. Even if it takes a long time, the monster will die eventually.

The Teleporter is the second component of the strategy. This upgraded version allows us to keep mining and warping resources back at base. The Teleporter works even in monster waves, unlike the Lift module. You can find help by placing them in a pile or down a shaft shallow enough to allow your teleporter to be thrown into the middle.

How to stop stall prevention

You might be wondering, “If the Stun Laser blocks the monster, why don’t you just fly me back the minerals?”

There is a reason that you cannot fly resources by yourself. Stall prevention. The developers added a stall preventive to the game to avoid the Stun Laser tactic. Two elemental melee monsters are spawned every half an hour. One on each side of your screen. We have our Teleporter to help us combat this. We can pop back to our dome to kill enemies and then get back to mining. This is going to be tedious but it is what we have to do for us to succeed. It’s essential to always have your teleporter on you and not leave it behind.

The beeping monster icon, which appears when the wave countr is in progress, can be used to track the spawn timestamp.

Dome Keeper - Infinite mining + Strategy & Upgrades - The strategy - BBE7480runs out, and you’re outside your dome. Each beep is a second long, so every thirty beeps (From the previous spawn) Two new melee enemies will spawn.

The double laser upgrade Laser dome can kill these two enemies quickly. You can pop them as soon they appear.

Where to go from there

Congratulations! Congratulations! You can now extend each monster wave by several minutes and will have enough time to explore the entire map. But where do you go from here?

Now your goal is to mine every resource block. Later, you will aim to get the most prestige points. To achieve this, you must balance increasing your multipliers and surviving as many waves as possible.

I recommend upgrading your weapon and defensive device so you can manage waves while taking minimal damage. Since every cobalt you don’t need to use for repairs, you can use it for score. Keep 30 iron and 2 cobalt on hand for the Leave the planet update and the juicy 2x multiplier. It is important to keep it safe for the day when the monsters take over.

Character upgrades

However, you will still need to be able to mine the blocks that you find. This will take longer each time you go deeper into the mine. The only limit is how much time you have available. However, I recommend speed upgrades unless you are willing to work at a snail’s speed at the deepest levels.

There are only a few upgrades that you need to your carrying capacity. The Teleporter will always be there to help you.

Dome upgrades

You want to be able to survive as long as possible by acquiring the defense and offense upgrades you need. You will still face waves while using the (stall tactic.) The flying monster doesn’t live forever. (You can get some extra points by upgrading your multipliers early. As long as the dome isn’t damaged (you need the cobalt to get points!).

Other modules

I recommend removing all modules that are not required. Many of the dome modules are built around cycles and will therefore be ineffective as we will keep the timer on when we stall.

Modules that aren’t based on cycles like Drillbert & Sensor could be used, but they won’t save you much time. Instead, the resources required to upgrade them could be used to earn extra points.

The Condenser is the only module I would consider buying. This is due to the Overcharge upgrade. It could help us survive for a few more waves before we face the monsters.

End of the game

Once you’ve finished mining, it’s time to face the monsters. You can spend your upgrades however you like, but remember that the goal is to survive as many waves possible. You might find that adding more multipliers to your levels could be more beneficial than getting extra cobalt for repairs. Remember to save the resources required to leave the planet when your dome is about cracking!

We appreciate your time!

That’s all I can offer you. Now, go ahead and crush the prestige achievements! I look forward to seeing you on the scoreboards.

Keeper, good luck!
