Hello and welcome, Deceive Inc. – Weapon Damage Information guide.

Considering the best weapons to use against specific agents? What precisely is the Squire’s Lance, Trident, and Javelin damage output difference? This article compares and details the damage dealt by each agent-capable weapon to help make load-out planning simpler.

Damage from each and every weapon for each and every agent. Here is what I’ve learned. Some were much simpler to handle than others, and it’s likely that the results aren’t ideal.

I’ll use some unusual acronyms to refer to things like headshots (H), body shots (B), fully charged (FC) and non-charged (NC), and in some cases even gun throws. (G). We’ll be working our way down the list, beginning with…

Chavez

  • Sentinel: Chavez’ starting weapon. Can kill in 3H or 4B.
  • Vigilante: Chavez’ second weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 3H or 5B. Due to it’s short barrel, it can fire faster with less recoil at the cost of damage.
  • Duke: Chavez’ final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 2H or 3B. Due to it’s comically long barrel, it fires pretty slowly and has a lot of recoil to it.

If I had to recommend one, Vigilante seems the best choice.

Ace

  • Queen of Diamonds: Ace’s starting weapon. Can kill in 3NC H, 4NC B, or 2FC H and 3FC B.
  • Jack of Diamonds: Ace’s second weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 4NC H, 5NC B, or 3FC H and 4FC B. Although it’s the weakest weapon, it can fire quickly and is easily the best for close combat.
  • King of Diamonds: Ace’s final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 2NC H, 3NC B, or 2FC H and 2FC B. Without question the most powerful of the trio, though it can only have a single bullet in it at a time, and is very slow to reload.

Ace had more to comprehend with her heated shots, but I believe I did. If I had to pick one player, Jack would be my pick as game play doesn’t always reward standing high in a sniper’s perch.

Squire

  • Lance: Squire’s starting weapon. Can kill in 5H or 6B. It comes with a silencer, preventing NPCs and enemy agents from hearing you.
  • Trident: Squire’s second weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 4H or 4B. No silencer, but instead a triple-fire burst of bullets each time you fire.
  • Javelin: Squire’s final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 4H or 5B. Essentially the Lance without it’s silencer and a little more power.

My personal favorite of the bunch, and what I’d recommend, is the Javelin.

Madame Xiu

  • Zhulong: Xiu’s starting weapon. Can kill in 9H or 12B. Fully automatic.
  • Longshen: Xiu’s second weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 4H or 4B. Unlike her other crossbows, this one is not automatic, and acts as a triple burst fire similar to Squire’s Trident.
  • Xuanwu: Xiu’s final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 13H or 17B. The longer you fire for, the faster it’ll shoot. Consumes a lot of ammo, though.

If I had to recommend one, I’d pick the Longshen. It’s the most powerful and is consistent regardless of where you’re aiming.

Hans

The Hook: Hans’ starting weapon. Can kill in 3H or 5B.

The Jab: Hans’ secondary weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 3H or 4B.

The Uppercut: Hans’ final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 3H or 3B.

If I had to pick one, The Jab would be my top pick. The Uppercut struggles with its small clip size and slow reload speed. Additionally, all headshots were recorded using the slug mount, so there appears no discernible difference in effectiveness across weapons.

Cavalière

  • Dragoons: Cavalière’s starting weapon. Can kill in 8H or 9B. Alternating fire between both guns.
  • Hydras: Cavalière’s second weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 3H or 5B. Firing both pistols at the same time.
  • Wyverns: Cavalière’s final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 8H or 10B. Similar to the Hydras both pistols fire simultaneously, but they’re automatic.

If I had to recommend one, I’d go with the Hydras. Good damage output alongside good clip size.

Larcin

  • Silence: Larcin’s starting weapon. Can kill in 9H/7H + G, or 10B/9B + G.
  • Cadence: Larcin’s second weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 5H/4H + G, or 6B/6B + G.
  • Violence: Larcin’s final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 8H/4H + G, or 10B/8B + G.

Larcin was also hard to gauge due to his gun-throwing, so these numbers might be a little murky. Asides from that, my recommendation is Cadence.

Yu-Mi

  • Slingshot: Yu-Mi’s starting weapon. It can kill in 3FC or 5NC.
  • Splitshot: Yu-Mi’s second weapon, unlocked at Mastery 5. Can kill in 3FC or 4NC.
  • Longshot: Yu-Mi’s final weapon, unlocked at Mastery 9. Can kill in 3FC or 7NC.

In my opinion, Yu-Mi’s expertise and passives are excellent, but clearly, the trade-off is power. She was also hard to read because she brought a slingshot to a gunfight. If I had to choose, I think you’re best off sticking with the regular Slingshot.
