ITEM DISCOVERY

 
First of all: i’ve done this test on ng+, that’s why im high leveled. 
 

1. THE MAX ITEM DISCOVERY A PLAYER CAN REACH IS 615. 
   With some item the player can increase his item discovery, with also leveling the “luck” attribute. 
    
2. THERE ARE SOME ITEM THAT CANNOT BE FOUND IN A SINGLE RUN. 
   Like 2 Crystal Sage’s Rapier, but can also be exchange with other player or simply using just one.  
    
3. I’VE TESTED 1 HOUR OF FARMING.

INCREASE ITEM DISCOVERY

 
You can use only a ring of the same type. 
 

• CRYSTAL SAGE’S RAPIER: + 50 ID 
• SYMBOL OF AVARICE: + 100 ID 
• COVETOUS GOLD SERPENT RING: + 50 ID 
• COVETOUS GOLD SERPENT RING +1: + 75 ID 
• COVETOUS GOLD SERPENT RING +2: + 100 ID 
• COVETOUS GOLD SERPENT RING +3: + 115 ID 
• FOR EVERY LUCK ATTRIBUTE LEVEL: + 1 ID (Luck 99 = +99 ID ) 
• TEMPORARILY WITH RUSTED COIN: + 50 ID 
• TEMPORARILY WITH RUSTED GOLD COIN: + 100 ID

 
I don’t know why but also if the amount of them is: 314, 414, 514, 614 in the game will result it ends with 15, so: 315, 415, 515, 615. It gives you 1 gifted point, what a polite and generous game. 
 
 

LOCATION AND HOW TO

 
My build was: 

 
For a total of 515 item discovery (I dont like the rusted coins) 
 
If you want to easly farm this but don’t have the stats you can go to Rosaria (Cathedral of the deep) and change the attributes, you can do this 5 times for run, (It will reset every new game, so you can other 5 times) but careful, if you give a pale tongue to Rosaria Sirris quest will fail (but who cares?) 
 
 
 
If you use Crystal Sage’s Rapier you need to know it scale on INT, the higher the intelligence is the higher the damage you deal, you could use the Scholar Ring (Increase INT attribute by 5 levels) or the Magic Clutch Ring (Increase the damage dealed with magic, but reducing the defence). 
Mine wasn’t to low so i prefer to don’t use the Magic Clutch, but increase the souls gained with the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring +3 and the Ring of Steel Protection, ‘couse my hp and general defence were low. 
 

LOCATION: LOTRHIC CASTLE

 
The first bonfire after the Dance of the Boreal Valley. Here’s how I did:  
 
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERsSgh76DJQWith my build you only need to do a backstab then a charged RT/R2 next 2 fast RB/R1. It’s really quick (Crystal Sage’s Rapier two handed, for higher damage). 
Once you killed him, just repeat, killing always just one knight, it’s faster, ‘couse if you go in the next room you’ll find the tiny old womans that heal the knights, so stay in the bonfire room. 
 
 

DROP RATE I GOT BY MYSELF

 
WITH 515 OF ITEM DISCOVERY I FARMED FOR PRECISELY AN HOUR AND THA’TS WHAT I GOT: 
 
 
The blue circles are the knights that didn’t drop me the Sunlight Medals, The red circles are the knights that drop me Sunlight Medals, so if i wanted to write it will be: (counting I write only the knights numbers that drop) 
 
6, 1, 20, 4, 2, 14, 4, 2, 4, 1, 1, 14, 16, 14 
 

 
 
The average therefore is 7,4 knights for drop with 515 item discovery.
