COMMUNICATION:
Communication among team members is the be-all and end-all in CS: GO! Make sure you use the integrated voice function or an external voice program with your friends. You never know what your opponent is up to and therefore you have to be able to communicate and react as quickly as possible.

ANNOUNCES:
Announcements are a very important point of communication. Have you ever asked why on de_dust2 a sniper always stops at the start of the terrorists and looks at the wooden doors? Sure, maybe he can take out an opponent with a lucky hit. Much more important, however, is that he sees how many of the CTs go to bomb site B and can pass this on directly to his team. The tactics and procedure can be adjusted accordingly in this round.

When you die, you shouldn’t waste time getting excited, but tell the team immediately where you died and how many opponents you saw there. The other players can then react.

PLAN THE PROCEDURE:
I am referring here to the “de_” maps, as these are exclusively played in tournaments and in leagues.

If you play as a terrorist, you have a few seconds at the start of the round thanks to the freeze time. You should use this to determine which bomb site you want to go to and, above all, how to get there (fast / slow, which route). It is important that all players adhere to this procedure and that not one of them steps out of line, as this can quickly lead to defeat.

Especially with rushes, it is important to consistently follow the strategy. If you start to hesitate, you leave your opponents too much time and leeway to react.

HOLD POSITIONS:
As a CT, you should determine who will take over which position at the very beginning of the match. It is important to properly cover the bomb sites and possibly to park a player at important key points. For example, on de_dust2 two players could go to the bomb sites and the last one could cover the middle. These positions are left for the entire match in order to have a clear structure and not have to reschedule every round, which would cost too much time.

The exception is of course when things stop working. Then you can swap positions with the agreement of the other players, that can help under certain circumstances.

It’s also important to stay defensive as a CT scanner. After all, the terrorists are forced to act and have to plant the bomb. Nevertheless, there are always players who simply storm off and run into their sights. This damages the whole team, which is why this should definitely not be done.

If you have managed to turn off the bomb carrier so that the bomb is on the ground, then you can leave your actual position because logically guarding the bomb has higher priority. Because without a bomb, the terrorists are of no use to occupy a bomb site. But here too, the following applies to the CTs: Don’t just storm off, always proceed in a controlled manner.

If you leave your position, the general rule is that you should only use paths that are safely free of opponents. For example, if the terrorists took a bomb site but only three of them were seen, that means that two could still be walking around or lurking elsewhere.

CHANGE POSITIONS:
We have just learned that as a CT you should hold your position. But exceptions prove the rule and that is also the case here. Should it not go so well, e.g. because you are constantly being overrun by the opponent, then I would urgently advise you to change your positioning.

1st possibility: You stand in a different place at the bomb site, which of course initially has the advantage that the opponent does not expect you there, but it can also change the flow of the game to a positive one in further rounds.

2nd possibility: You simply swap positions with a teammate. Maybe the other bomb site suits you better. Such a position swap often brings more than one might initially think.

PISTOL ROUNDS:

Saving Rounds:
A term that you will come across all the time is “eco” (to make economies). If things don’t look so good financially, you should refrain from buying weapons and equipment and only go into battle with your starting equipment. Normally you lose this round, but you should try to eliminate as many opponents as possible in order to cause financial losses for the opposing team. In the next round you have some savings again and can shop normally.

WEAPONS:
If you have enough money to buy, you usually play with M4A4 or AK47, these are the standard weapons of the two teams, so to speak. On most maps it is also helpful to have an AWP shooter with you.

In some cases, however, you can deviate from this. If the money is not quite enough, a Famas or Galil can often pay off. You could almost say that these are the “little brothers” of the standard weapons mentioned above. Anyway, for their cheap price, they are very effective.

Some players also grab a shotgun and go into hand-to-hand combat when they need money. The reason for this is the high reward of $ 900 per ask.

GRANADES:
In CS: GO, grenades are a very effective way to gain an advantage. There are five different types of grenades, two of which are new.

Flash grenades are extremely valuable – provided they are used correctly. It is important that the stun grenade is not simply thrown at the enemy, but ideally so that they can look directly into it when it goes off. The enemy should see the stun grenade as late as possible. Otherwise he has too much time to turn away and avoid the glare.

Smoke grenades are also extremely useful if you know how to use them properly. In general: the player who is in the smoke is at a disadvantage! He can be seen when he doesn’t see anything himself. If you suspect a rush by the opposing team, you can use smoke grenades to slow the enemy down. Rushing through a smoke is extremely dangerous as it is an easy target. Smoke grenades can also be used well to block snipers’ view and lure them out of their corners.

Incendiary grenades (CT) or Molotovs (T) can also be used to stop rushes or to damage the opposing players. Or if you know that a player has hid in a corner, you can use it to lure him out.Incidentally, the fires also restrict the view to some extent.

These little beasts are also new to CS: GO. They fake gunshot sounds and appear on the opponent’s radar as a player. However, the opponent can often see through this deception quickly. But the low price of $ 50 gives these grenades one more function. They can be used as a flashbang fake. Since their shape looks exactly like stun grenades, you can use them to fake them. Then you just have to catch the right moment when the opponent is just turning away.

One does not need to say too much about the damage grenades. Always throw where the opponent is or could be. The explosion can cause great damage.

I hope the guide was helpful and could help you a bit. Have a nice day…
