This is the guide to the Season 3 Trophy Hunt Event.

Trophy Hunt was an event that appeared in Modern Warfare II on April 12th 2023. During this limited event, players will drop a trophy coin whenever they are defeated in any mode. You can earn trophies for your kills or perform specific tasks like opening supply containers. The trophies you can collect will differ depending on whether you’re in multiplayer, Battle Royale or DMZ.

Multiplayer

In Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer, every unique enemy drops 1 trophy. In non-round-based modes, you must pick up the trophy to bank it. In round-based modes such as Search and Destroy, a single enemy operator can be eliminated to grant banked trophies. Activision states in its Season 3 blog that only human opponents count for this event. AI opponents won’t be dropping trophies in Invasion. Trophies only drop once per player you haven’t yet killed. So, to get 6 tokens or 10 trophies, you need to kill 6 or 8 different players. This does raise if someone leaves and others join.

Battle Royale

Both human and AI enemies drop trophies for Warzone 2 (specifically Warzone 2). In Battle Royale, trophies are not lost when you die. To collect your trophies, you will either have to win the game or bank them on a Buy Station. If you bank them, you can leave without losing the coins. However, I need confirmation.

DMZ

DMZ trophies operate similarly to Battle Royale. Both AI and human enemies drop trophies. They are lost when you die. You must either successfully exfiltrate from the match or bank these trophies at a Buy Station. Again, I think that if your bank them, you’re able to leave the match. But I would like confirmation.

Trophy Farming

The number trophies you earn per match depends on both the primary mode that you are playing (MP,WZ,DMZ) and the total players. Below is a chart that shows the various modes and how much tokens you can get for each type.

Ideal Farming

The best “farming” methods are available in DMZ, Multiplayer and DMZ. Technically, the ideal farming technique isn’t more profitable than just playing the games. But for those with limited playtime and/or trying to max out the game the best methods are listed.

For DMZ you should simply enter a DMZ lobby, find the AI and kill them all. Once you have 12 Tokens run to your nearest token station to deposit, then leave the lobby.

Team Deathmatch is recommended for Multiplayer, as it is the fastest way to finish a lobby. It’s also good to play 10v10 Teams Deathmatch as you can get more tokens. Lobbies will still be completed fairly quickly. It is not recommended for you to play modes such as Domination, Hardpoint and Ground War because they last longer.

Earn Rewards

Your hard-earned tokens can be spent on rewards. I think blackcell or battlepa*s owners will start off with 150 tokens. However, I am unable to confirm that regular players start out with zero. A variety of rewards are available to purchase, ranging from weapon blueprints to consumables and emblems. Below is an image and chart list of the rewards. This will also be updated when new rewards are released.
