Hey there, welcome to this post, Welcome to Rusted Moss – Secret Survival Boss Fight This guide contains gameplay, informations, basic builds, solutions guidelines and a lot more.
This guide will help you to understand the fight between a deserter and a hunter.
Warning: Spoilers to follow. I tried my best to keep the title vague, but now that we’re here, it’s time to throw everything out the door. To access this fight, you must meet the two combatants separately, three times each while exploring the world. You can find them naturally as you progress through the game. But if you miss a few encounters or have avoided talking to each of them, we will cover their separate encounters.
Let’s begin with Eli, as her second encounter is quite a screamer.
Eli
Location 1: Mossy Hills
Eli is standing right next the fae statue and above a portal. By this point, you may have already chatted with her if the game has been played for at least 5 mins. However, we’ll keep it here for completion.
Location 2: Lab
Eli’s 2nd encounter has many different elements, so let’s examine her situation.
Eli is locked in the Lab. You need to get her out. You’ll need a hammer to break a target to the right of her cell. It’s currently blocked with leaf blocks. To remove the leaves, you’ll have to hit the switch in the green square above. But, to get there, you’ll have to shut down the power to the lab.
I won’t get into the details of how to do each and every thing in the laboratory. I trust you can figure it out. But, the general flow of things from the start of lab to breaking Eli free is:
- Hit the three large targets to unlock the path to the generator
- Spirella the Spirella will shut down the generator
- Avoid the big worm while running to the leaf-switch in the green room.
- Run back and unlock Eli’s cell.
After you unlock Eli’s cells, help her out and collect your trinket. You have earned it.
Location 3: Barrow’s Ceiling
Eli’s last location is convenient, as it is near where the fight will actually take place. Eli will be waiting for Elflame on the westside Barrow’s Ceiling. Eli can now wish her good luck with growing tomatoes.
Nell has to face her second encounter. Her second encounter isn’t as time-consuming.
Nell
Location 1: Factory Roof
Nell starts off in a spot that is hard to miss, similar to Eli’s. Nell’s location is right in the middle, next to the statue. Take a moment to chat with Nell and you’re on your way.
Location 2: Lake
Nell and Eli’s second encounter was much easier. You’ll need the rocket launcher if you do not already have it.
The encounter begins as Fern and Puck are listening to a cry from the bottom vertical shaft. To get to the higher area you will have to do a charged-up rocket jump. To do so, you do a charge-jump like normal, then run toward the opening of the ceiling. Then jump and shoot a sonic rocket at your foot at the same time. If you are a visually-oriented learner, Here’s your jump. – [imgur.com]
Continue climbing the shaft to the top and interact with Nell. She’ll then tell you how to get the Fae of Hate Trinket as a bonus.
Location 3: Living Quarters
Nell has had her last encounter in the apartment. Nell can be found in the room to the right of the Forest Cafe, taking a short break and reminiscing. Listen to Nell’s ramblings to complete all of Nell encounters.
It’s time to move on to the real fight now that we’ve explained both Eli and Nell encounters.
Accessing the Fight
Location: Elflame
Once you’ve finished all the Eli and Nell encounters, it’s finally time to start fighting. Teleport to Elfame, then hop down from the quarry. You’ll have to go around the circle to unlock Elflame’s gate if you haven’t already explored it. It’s okay if you already did this. All you need to do is turn left, then up, then left.
You’re missing a chance to meet Eli and Nell if you enter this room without them. Check again and make sure you didn’t forget any. Congratulations if both are there! Get ready to see them shoot eachother to pieces. While you cannot directly harm either of them, you can still influence the match if you grapple either away from the enemy or into their fire. It’s certainly not as simple to do as it sounds. Especially since it’s much easier to avoid getting shot, you’ll earn an achievement regardless if the winner is you or someone else. So pick your favorite, and be as disruptive as possible!
