Within three days, training a zero experience recruit into a tech hunter level samurai.

Items you need

You need a set of heavy armor, the more protection and combat penalty, the better.

The following is the set I recommend to use. It’s fine if you can’t find it, those item can replace with anything that has similar stats. But it might be less efficient.

1.Tin Can (Standard Quality or higher)

4.Blackened Chainmail

Note that high quality chainmail is very rare in the game, it would be helpful to train a armor smith in early game.(Just assign a recruit focus on leather tanning till armor smith skill above 80.)

Make sure the recruit has no injury also in bright environment while crafting armor.

5.Large Backpack (for more combat penalty)

There’s two types of training weapon to use, one is for early stage, to train combat skill and dexterity, another one is for strength training.

Early training weapon I recommend start with Ninja Blade. Because it’s weightless and good material to train dexterity, also low damage and high defense penalty.

Quality the lower, the better(“Rusty Junk” is the most ideal one)

Strength training weapon you can use anything that is heavy, something like “Fragment Axe”.

Quality the higher, the better(“Meitou” or “Edge Type 3” is the most ideal one)

Stage one training – Bull Beater

First, build a simple base around here(to put beds). This area is a ideal place to train newbies, enemies here are relatively mild(won’t eat you or enslave you), and enemy squad usually spawns with huge number.

You need at least 2 member to perform training, one for medical care one for trainee, you can switch their role once their wound is bandaged.

Let the trainee put the gears on, fighting starving bandits around the base(or wild bulls).

Don’t be afraid of being defeated, it’s the part of training. If you get knock out, get up, heal, keep fighting till your character into coma. Then let your another buddy take him to the bed, wearing his gear to fight, when first one gets up, heal the coma one and put him to the bed.

It’s recommend that perform another training after the character is fully healed.

Usually, it takes about 3 full health fight to get 50 toughness and 40 melee defense, sometime it will faster, it depends on the quality of the armor and which body part getting hit.

The screenshot below is my character achieves 73 toughness from 44 within one fight.

Once your character is reach at least 50 toughness, you can let him focus on fight wild bulls, you can easily reach 60 melee attack and 50 melee defense.

If your melee attack and defense reach 50 each, you can consider switch your weapon to fragment axe for strength training.

If you are strong enough to fight a herd of wild bull, you can loot their horns and animal hides, which is good source of income.

You also can train your armor smith by tanning animal hide into leather.

Stage two training – Beak Things Sensei

If you have enough soldier that capable of fighting beak things, also have a set of high quality armor. You can start moving to the gutter, where you can train combat skill even higher.

The training process is similar to the stage one, but due to beak things can eat corpses. When your trainee is into coma, let others to rescue him.

We also can exploit this corpse eating mechanism to boost toughness even higher. When you getting eaten while heavily wounded, it gives huge amount of toughness xp.

Don’t worry that beak things eat you alive completely. As long as your vital body part hp is not reach to KO threshold, your character would get up instantly, and the beak thing will flee away.

When you are capable of fight a herd of beak things, you can steal their egg for even higher income.

I use this method to train 26 heavy armor samurai 3 bowman to bully Cat-Lon.
