STOP ADDING RUBBERBAND I’M TIRED OF SEEING IT

Have you noticed how no matter what it’s hard as ♥♥♥♥ to even reach the top 3 because no matter what you do the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI seems to have a rocket up it’s ♥♥♥ at all times?

Did you see how your boost also boosts them for no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason?

Have you wasted a boost because the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI rammed you to the wall and the other cars just got faster?

Are you so frustrated that playing a single track makes you want to tear whoever included catchup a new one?

Are you tired time and time again to play any racing game where the AI has 0 effort put into?

If you said yes to any of the questions or you just want a fun time not a hard time then this guide is for you

How to get rid of that 💩

Step 1: Get an hex editor

I reccomend HxD – [mh-nexus.de]

Step 2: Open the catchup file

It’s located at “STEAMAPPS\Hotshot Racing\data\Gamedata\Catchup.zml”

Step 3: Blank it out

Just type 0s in it and make sure to keep the size

Step 4: Enjoy?

That’s it

I have absolutely no idea if that even fixes it or if it’s placebo or if just deleting the file (I’d make a backup just in case) has any effect on that ♥♥♥♥ but I felt the AI doesn’t accelerate and get away as much

Pros:

• Gets rid of the most absurd and stupid mechanic in racing games
• Increases the chance of having a good time
• You feel like a 1337 H4X0R

Cons:

• This might really be placebo
• AI is dumb as bricks
• Maybe not a good time because too ez
• No cons, really
