Hello and welcome, In this guide, we will tell you all about Turbo Overkill – How to use grapple hook and triple jump Following this guide step by step.
How to keep Johnny airborne for the longest possible.
Grappling Hook into Triple Jump
You can begin by either jumping or grappling (either an enemy in an area or a hook).
From here, keep the air moving by jumping as many times you can. This will allow your hook to recharge.
Find an enemy, or a hook, and quickly press ‘E.’ This will allow you to grab onto them. This will provide a slight upward force to Johnny and it will return your jumps. This process can be done indefinitely.
Teleporters are another way to achieve this. Teleporting from an arena to a portal will give you a small force upwards and return your jumping.
Once you’ve installed the augmentation, portals appear in virtually every arena.
Here is a demonstration of the movement using a grapple hook and a triple jump.

Recommended Augmentations
OVERDRIVE. ARMS
– Gives an extra two slots in each arm. Once you get this, there’s no reason not to have it equipped at all times.
OVERDRIVE LEGS
Gives you an extra slot in each leg. This is a necessary accessory that gives you room to add augs for movement to your legs without compromising other augs, such as the collector augmentations on the chainsaw.
Kicking power
– Gives an enormous speed boost when sliding is activated. If you slide up in the air you will still get a speed boost. You can add to the speed boost by sliding, leaping, and sliding again. This is one of the best ways to increase your speed when you are in the air.
Triple Jump
– Pretty self explanatory. Staying airborne is made easier, and you can chain Kicking Power together.
Syntech Portals
Teleportation to portals located around arenas will increase mobility. Some portals are mounted onto walls, placing you high in air.
Additional Notes
This method works even without a triple jump, but it is recommended to make it easier to stay in the air.
The grappling-hook is unavailable until at least episode two, and some other optional augs will not become available until episode 3.
It is important to note that any weapon with a charged time (telefraggers charging rockets and magnum lock-ons) will reset its charge when using a grappling hook. This is what happens when you teleport to a portal using syntech. You can start an air tech, then charge the Telefragger while teleporting to a Syntech portal to keep your airtime and weapon charge going.
Towards the end of the game you will see bosses using attacks that sweep the floor. As you are in the air, it is virtually impossible to be hit by their attacks. It also gives you the feeling of being a power of nature.
