Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation – Farming Gold and Legendary Mats – 2021 Guide

First things first

 
You will have to progress through the story all the way to Misty Passages. 
 
 

Now the part where you rake in the gold

 
You will have access to a side-quest called An Overwhelming Presence, where you’ll have to survive for a number of rounds. 
 
Make sure to set the game mode to “Explorer”, so that no encounters happen. Then play the subquest on horrific difficulty and keep hitting the space bar. After 18 rounds of doing nothing you’ll be awarded with 1K-1.5K gold and 3 legendary chests. Make sure to buy Singing Wind for Birdsong ASAP in order to maximize the cash earned.

You can use this AutoHotkey script to automate the whole thing: 
 

#MaxThreadsPerHotkey 3 F8:: Toggle := !Toggle Loop { If (!Toggle) Break Click Click, right Send, {Space} Sleep 250 } Return 

 
Next, place the mouse roughly where the red X is in the image below and press F8. If done right, you’ll end up auto-clicking through all of the end-of-mission screens and then “Restart”. 
 
 
 
Just press F8 again when you’re done.
