Hello and welcome, This post will provide information regarding the Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew – Character specific & general knowledge, and we hope you will find this material helpful.

Welcome to the Lost Caribbean! In this stealth strategy game, join a ghost ship with a living soul and assemble a cursed pirate crew. Embrace magical powers to defy the menacing army of the Inquisition, which stands between you and the mysterious treasure of the legendary Captain Mordechai.

Character specific & General Knowledge

This section is where you can find information about individual characters and other general knowledge I didn’t read in the guide or remember being told by the game.

Afia

Afia is an excellent game. The Time Freeze of Afia is less powerful on higher-tier guards. Also, Grand Blink – her upgrade – will only be charged once per mission.

Toya

Remember that his little paper toy has an infinite range. This is easy to forget, as it’s used for things nearby, like killing guards and climbing small ledges. But it can also be an escape tool when upgraded.

Suleidy

Suleidy’s Cover-Seed bushes do draw guards’ attention briefly as they grow. This is insufficient to attract the guards’ attention, and they won’t look into it. However, if you want to slip by, this can be a great way to break up the view cone pattern.

Gaelle

After upgrading, Gaelle’s melee takedowns are as fast as those of Toya and Suleidy. This makes Gaelle a lot more valuable, as her takedowns are faster and distractions last less time. Gaelle’s abilities can be used for no-kill missions, as only her melee strike deals lethal damage.

Quentin

Oh man, that guy. Golden Head is a shining object that guards can see from afar in their viewcone. Nest is Treasure Rod. This thing is absurd. It doesn’t matter what the game says, triggering the environment kills using the treasure rod (stacks and rocks, or cannons), does not make it faster or slower. Treasure rod always has a fixed duration, which makes it faster to activate a cannon next to it. Also, it’s important for the challenges that follow: Fishing a tied-up or unconscious opponent DOES NOT count towards a kill. This makes it very useful for those challenges. Quentin’s ability can be used on any enemy, even if they are just knocked out. No need to tie the enemy up first. This again is an excellent combo with Gaelle’s skill set. Quentin also needs to wait for the dying or KO Animations to be completed before he is able drag downed foes.

Pinkus

Pinkus will not be detected unless something specific is done. For instance, if Pinkus fires the host’s firearm or interacts with certain items (usually mission objectives). Not by Iudexes, or even Prognosticars. In addition to these, he’s free to go wherever he wants in his range while possessing someone. It is also not suspicious to follow his tracks while he is possessed.

John

John’s toolkit has two exciting features. When using Anchor up to agitate the Prognosticars and get them ready to be taken down by another crew member, John will stay in Below for the duration of the attack and cannot even be seen by the other guards. It is also helpful because it doesn’t alert guards. Second, if guards spot him and is still in Below with Anchor Down inside that viewcone, they will lose sight of the character. He can then be used to sit out an alarm period when you upgrade him completely.

Teresa

Teresa’s upgrade is the most useful; she won’t have to retrieve her bolt each time. The kill or knockout animation of her crossbow can take a long time. However, another crewmember nearby can speed it up if they tie up/carry the body.

General Knowledge

Even though higher-ranking guards are usually immune to distractions, tangled or dead allies will always make them investigate.

When attempting challenges, ensure you read all instructions carefully. When it is said to ‘kill,’ the object must be dead. Knocking someone out and tying him up will not work. If you are doing a pacifist version of a mission and want to kill your enemies, then do not throw them into water or canyons. This counts as death.

You can play through all missions again after the story is over. Do not worry if you feel that you missed something. You can do the challenges after you finish the story, but completing them on the first try is possible.
