This guide will help you defeat the Gorgon Skull from Chapter 4. I had difficulty fighting and figuring it all out made me share what I know.

Preparation

You’ll find yourself in a section full of weapons when you get to the boss area. There are:

1. MGs

2. SMGs

3. Shotguns

4. Rocket Launchers

You can choose according to your style of play The most cheesy way to is to go rockets or snipers (it’s not in this section but you can locate them in enemy drops prior to you even entered the game)

Before you start the fight, there are six power-ups and three rows each of two.

AimBuff is on the front. You will also find DamageBuff and Armor. Plan when you will take them off according to the plan.

The fight

This boss has two phases:

1. The first phase in which it shoots

2. Second phase: summoning enemies

The First Phase

The boss will fire various projectiles from close range, which are difficult to dodge.

The best thing to do is wait for an opening (ie when it’s shooting the large projectiles that are limited or the laser beam one) and then go in to deal damage. If you’re determined to fighting close range, be sure to use shield and dashes alot.

The Second Phase

The boss will not be vulnerable to any damage during the second phase. It will create waves for you to fight, which is relatively easy.

Once the waves have been cleared, the boss camouflage is removed and you are able to attack it again. Repeat this for each quarter of health that the boss loses.
