Hello and welcome, We will discuss the Iron Sea Defenders – Full Achievements and Walkthrough in this post, and we sincerely hope you will find it helpful.
How to complete every accomplishment in the game is detailed in this tutorial. Read it at your own risk because it includes spoilers.
Introduction
This comprehensive guide explains how to complete every achievement in the game and lists each one in roughly the right sequence.
If you find any mistakes in my information or have any more information, please post a comment along with evidence of your claim (such as a screenshot or video), and I will check into it.
Template
The achievements use the following template:
Achievement name Achievement image
The Steam description of the achievement will be listed in a code box. The text below the description includes notes that either clarify the achievement or give you tips to help you get it.
Worth it
Unlocked a tile for anchors on any level.
This requires you to spend two or five anchors to unlock a unique tile that generally has a superior position and provides a bonus to range and power if a tower is built on it. I don’t believe that the tutorial which teaches you to do this in Level 2 counts towards the achievement.
Unassailable
Didn't let a single enemy reach the fort throughout a level.
When enemies reach your fort, they turn into a red mist and reduce your heart counter.
This can easily be acquired on Level 1, especially if you’re playing on the Easy difficulty: simply build Light Cannons in the path of the wave whenever you have coins available, call the first two waves early for a small coin bonus that will allow you to build an extra Light Cannon, and none of the enemies should reach your fort (although some will get close). If you don’t upgrade any of your towers then you can also get the Old school achievement at the same time.
Take your place!
Place all towers available in the episode
This requires you to build a tower on each available tile but I’m not sure if it can be acquired on Level 1 because it has no locked tiles. Nevertheless, each level gives you enough coins to fill up each tile as long as you prioritize building new towers instead of upgrading existing ones (which is generally a better strategy).
All hands on deck!
Installed all types of weapons accessible on a level.
This requires you to have unlocked all four base tower types (light cannon, heavy cannon, mortar, and resource) and build at least one of each during a level.
The earliest you can do this is Level 5 when you unlock the mortar. If you don’t get this naturally, then you can easily get it at the same time as Quartermaster.
Unbroken
Completed a level with the time machine's health below 10 points.
The “time machine” referred to here is also called the “fort” in other achievements. If you don’t get this naturally throughout the game then you’ll have to let 15+ enemies through to damage your fort purposely.
This will be easier to execute once you’ve purchased a few upgrades with anchors because having upgraded cannons and/or increased coin generation will help offset the coins that you lose from not destroying the 15+ enemies.
Scorge of the enemy
Used bonuses 10 times on a single level.
The “bonuses” referred to here are the special abilities you can use anywhere on the map and have a cooldown timer.
You can easily get this achievement after Level 12, where you unlock the fourth special ability, by using all of the special abilities whenever they’re available even if you don’t need to. It can probably be done earlier but the cooldown for the minefield is so long that you’d have to use the artillery strike and acid barrels four or more times each which might be possible in the earlier levels.
Secret weapon
Used all the different types of bonuses on a level.
This requires you to unlock all five special abilities and use all of them during a level. The fifth and final special ability is unlocked during Level 15.
Old school
Completed a level without improving weaponry.
This requires you to complete a level without improving any of your towers so that they have 1-3 chevrons.
This can easily be acquired on Level 1, especially if you’re playing on the Easy difficulty: build Light Cannons in the path of the next wave whenever you have coins available, call the first two waves early for a small coin bonus that will allow you to build an extra Light Cannon, and none of the enemies should reach your fort (although some will get close).
Quartermaster
Collected 10,000 coins in a single level.
This requires you to collect 10,000 coins throughout a level, not have that many currently in your bank, so you can spend all of your coins and will end up getting this achievement well before you have 10,000 total. For reference, I got this achievement on Level 16 after I reached around 6,300 coins.
I find that Level 16 is the easiest to get this on because you start with four resource towers which can be improved to increase their coin generation and, optionally, transformed into a tesla tower that can teleport enemies backward down the path; however, this should only be done once you’ve built up sufficient defenses.
If you have spare tiles then you can build a few more resource towers. Upgrading the resource towers and the amount of coins received per sunk enemy with anchors also helps greatly but isn’t necessary.
If you find that you haven’t gotten the achievement by the last wave then one trick you can do is wait until there is one enemy left, sell all of your offensive towers, and have a few tesla towers in the enemy’s path to keep sending it back so that your resource towers can keep generating coins infinitely.
No holds barred!
Sold 10 weapons on a single level.
This is best done in conjunction with Quartermaster but can be done on any level since building more towers is generally a better strategy than upgrading a fewer number of them: pause the game after the last enemy has been destroyed and sell all of your towers. If you didn’t get the achievement then build a new tower, sell it, and repeat this process until you get it.
The Armorer
Placed all types of weaponry accessible in the episode on a single tile.
This is best done in conjunction with Quartermaster but can be done on any level: pause the game after the last enemy has been destroyed, sell all of your towers, and proceed to build and sell one of each type on a single tile.
War master
Destroyed 20,000 enemies throughout the entire game.
This only counts enemies destroyed once per level per difficulty so you can’t replay the same level on the same difficulty multiple times to increase your kill count which means that you will have to play through approximately 50+ levels before you get the achievement.
For reference, I got the achievement after completing all 20 levels on Easy, all 20 levels on Medium, and 10 levels on Hard in the Atlantic Ocean campaign.
Conclusion
I decided to make this guide because there is no information whatsoever on the achievements (or even the game in general) and felt that a guide like this would help any future or returning players get all of the game’s achievements.
As such, hopefully this guide has helped you get the achievements and if it did then feel free to rate the guide, favorite it, or even give it an award!
