Forest Star has 9 different in-game Achievements and this guide describes how to get them.
 
This is the first guide I made, so I hope this is helplful and feel free to leave feedback in the comments!
 
 

Basics

Locations

 
There are six different locations in this game:
 

1. Home
2. Forest
3. Village
4. Beach
5. River
6. Hill

 

Levels & HP

 
You can gain XP by picking up items, talking to animals and helping them with their fetch quests.
 
Every level unlocks a new ability which gives you access to new areas and actions.
 

• Level 2 unlocks ‘Dexterity’ to unlock the Sheep pen and the ability to interect with Palm Trees.
• Level 3 unlocks ‘Focus’ this is helpful to find hidden objects and animals and Tortoise becomes available as a companion
• Level 4 unlocks the ability to jump across the river and to talk to Crocodile.

 
Each level will give you extra HP, you start at lvl 1 with 20HP.
 
At lvl 2 this will be increased to 24HP, lvl 3 = 25HP & lvl 4 = 26HP
 
Throughout the game you can find several kinds of food, eating them will replenish your HP:
 

• Acorn (5HP)
• Carrot (10HP)
• Coconut (15HP)
• Blue Mushroom (5HP)

There are also a couple of one time use food items hidden in the game:
 

• Water (1HP) – Found in sheep pen (Village)
• Coffee (10HP) – Found on table (Village)
• Banana (12HP) – Found with Focus (Beach)
• You can find extra acorns and carrots with Focus

 

Animals

 
There are 16 different animals you can interect with.
 
Three of these can become your companion and they all have different abilities:
 

• Owl (Home)
   
   
   
  + Can fly over thorny flowers to retrieve an item for you & Gives advice about certain items and situations
   
   
   
  – When you try to talk to Mouse, Owl will eat them, which makes you unable to interact with them
• Tortoise (Forest)
   
   
   
  + Is a good listener and his shield will reduce damage from animal attacks
   
   
   
  – Will slow you down
• Rabbit (River)
   
   
   
  + Can jump
   
   
   
  – Is very impatient and if you ask them to leave they will not be available to become a companion again in that playthrough.

 
Tip: Ask Owl to be your companion in your first playthrough, they will give additional information which you otherwise need to find out through trial and error!
 
 
 

Solitary Monkey

 
To get this achievement you have to start the game by choosing the option: “I’m glad there’s no one around to disturb this peaceful night!”
 
 
During this playthrough you cannot ask any of the animals to be your companion.
 
 
* You will get the Beach Party ending:
 
 

 
 
 

Social Animal

 
To get this achievement you have to start the game by choosing the option: “It’s kind of lonely though, being here just by myself.”
 
 
During this playthrough you need to ask Owl, Tortoise AND Rabbit at least once to be your companion for a part of your journey.
 
 
 

Easy Going

 
To get this achievement you have to become friends with all of 16 animals. This table shows where to find every animal and how to get them to be friendly towards you.

Hedgehog	Forest	–	Find them with Focus; Talk to them
Squirrel	Forest	Carrot	Give them a Carrot
Rabbit	Village & River	Carrot or Blue Mushroom	Apologize to them in the village.       When you find them again by the River: Give either Carrot or Blue Mushroom
Mouse	Village	Carrot	Two ways, either steal the carrots (of the human) on your own or steal them       with the help of Mouse, both ways you need to give them a Carrot
Sheep	Village	Key & Sheers	Unlock the sheep pen and sheer their Wool with Sheers (found with Focus in box next to house)
Starfish	Beach	–	Take them to the Sea (Go past the Crab with Tortoise as companion)
Crab	Beach	Companion= Tortoise	Listen to their story with Tortoise as companion
Oyster	Beach	– (Acorn)	Find them with Focus; Talk to them (both dialogue options work)
Clownfish	Beach	Starfish in inventory	Walk up to the Sea to release Starfish & Talk with them
Snail	River	Shell or Coconut	Give them either the Shell or a Coconut
Crocodile	River	Twig	Use the Twig to clean their teeth
Mole	Hill	–	Talk to them
Giraffe	Hill	Coconut	Give them a Coconut
Eagle	Hill	– (Wool)	Two ways: Tell the meteorite is dangerous or Tell that they are safe & Give them Wool
