Fish Oil Farming in WoW SoD

Hey there, fellow adventurers! Let’s dive into the Season of Discovery where unexpected twists are waiting, especially when it comes to that reagent we’ve all traded with our Shaman buddies. I’m here to spill the beans on snagging Fish Oil in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery. Trust me, it’s a game-changer for your rune questing.

Fish Oil: Not Just for Shamans Anymore

Remember the good old days in vanilla WoW when Fish Oil was the go-to for Shamans’ Water Walking spell? Fast forward to the Season of Discovery, and this humble reagent is your golden ticket to scoring all those sweet Class Runes.

Meet Grizzby: Your Go-To for Runes

Hidden away in the Ratchet Inn is a sly vendor named Grizzby. Pinpoint him at 61.9, 39.3 and you’re in for a treat. He’s got a unique rune for each class up his sleeve. But here’s the twist: you gotta finish his three quirky quests to unlock them. One catch? Bring him 24x Fish Oil.

Scoring Fish Oil: A How-To Guide

Luckily, getting your hands on Fish Oil isn’t a headache. You’ve got options:

  1. Scour fish or amphibian foes like Murlocs and Naga for drops.
  2. Hit up any Auction House in the big cities.
  3. Or, the good old-fashioned way: trade with your pals.

In a hurry for a Rune? Auction House to the rescue. Just watch out for those sneaky sellers asking for more than 60 Silver a pop. As for me? I’m eyeing that Rewind Time Rune for my Mage Healer. While farming Fish Oil might test your patience, it’s a solid way to save your precious gold.

Hotspots for Fish Oil-Loaded Enemies

Earlier, I mentioned those Murlocs and Naga as prime Fish Oil sources. If you’re tackling Phase 1, aim for enemies around level 25. Here’s a couple of spots to try solo or with your squad:

  1. Bluegill Oracles: Level 25 and 26 Murlocs, hanging out in the Wetlands.
  2. Bluegill Raiders: The level 28 Murlocs, also in the Wetlands.

Plus, don’t forget about Blackfathom Deeps for potential Fish Oil drops from baddies like Lady Sarevess or the Blindlight Muckdwellers.
