In a nutshell, the in-game frame limiter is broken, resulting in extremely inconsistent frame pacing and slowdown. We’ll be using Nvidia Profile Inspector for this guide and this solution is only available for Nvidia GPUs.
– Disable the options for Vsync. FPS Cap. and Screenspace Anti-Aliasing. I recommend also disabling Lockstep Mode. You’ll see something like this:

Find the profile Divinity 2, then select the following options:
Frame Limiter V3: (or your monitor’s refresh rate) 60 FPS
Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames: 1
Triple Buffering: On
Vertical Sync: Fast Sync
(Optional, can be GPU intensive depending on your resolution/framerate)
Antialiasing Compatibility (DX9- : Copy and paste Copy and paste
Antialiasing (MSAA) – Mode: Override any application setting
Antialiasing (MSAA) – Setting: 4x [4x Multisampling]
Antialiasing – Transparency Supersampling: 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling
Click “Apply changes” to save your changes. Your settings should look like this:
Bonus: Crash Prevention
Although crashes are rare but they can happen because this is a 32-bit application that can run out of memory particularly during the Flames of Vengeance Campaign. For this reason, applying the

It is highly recommended. The file you want to patch is bin\Divinity2.exe.
