Prioritize missing resource

This controller is the brain of the operation.

When their supply is running out, warehouses broadcast a radio alert.

Scouts can signal the location of resources. This is where the controller sends the miners to the best resource locations.

It can also be placed in any other building. You will need the behaviour controller, radio receiver, and radio transmitter.

Logic:

In this instance, the system manages the core resources of metal ore and crystal chunks. For each of them, the corresponding storage sends a notification on channel [resource]2 as soon as it runs out.

The subroutine tunes to each of the three radio channels. Subroutines return the resource from a subroutine when a specific channel has a Message. If there isn’t a low-stock warehouse, logic ends and the resource priority remains the same.

When a resource selection is made, the program tries all the signals the scouts have sent and finds the closest one. This scout’s position is then broadcast over the radio as a target for all miners seeking new orders.

It may take a while before miners start asking for new orders. If you need to deal with the shortage immediately, build radio miners. Or order some manually to an appropriate resource. They’ll handle it.
