Skills that need to be upgraded at the very beginning

Field repair (melee)

 
 
 
This skill allows you to repair edged weapons. For this, however, you need a crowbar. Given that you will often have to face enemies in close combat in the game, it will be very annoying if your weapon suddenly breaks. To prevent this from happening, upgrade this skill and always keep a few scrap items in stock. 
 
 

Fencer (melee)

 
 
 
Another necessary skill, which is better to pump as soon as possible. It increases the damage from all melee weapons. 
 
 

Retribution (melee)

 
 
 
Allows you to deliver a critical (fatal blow) when conducting a melee attack. 
 
 

Focus on the target (shooting)

 
 
 
Adds the ability to slow down time while aiming. We recommend that you upgrade the skill first. 
 
 

Fire and maneuver (shooting)

 
 
 
Increases your accuracy when shooting while running. Believe me, you will have to run often, and 
 
 

On the move (shooting)

 
 
 
Adds the skill of reloading weapons while running 
 
 

Jagged tips (shooting)

 
 
 
Increases crossbow damage. Most enemies can be killed with just one arrow. 
 
 

Hawkeye (Survival)

 
 
 
Shows plant icons on the mini-map. Plants can be sold and craft useful items from them, for example, a potion to restore concentration. 
 
 

Thorn in the Side (survival)

 
 
 
A chance to return an arrow fired at an enemy from a crossbow. Often you will not have enough arrows, and therefore it is very profitable to return it from the enemy’s body 
 
 

Thief in the Night (Survival)

 
 
 
Reduces traffic noise. After learning this skill, it will be easier for you to sneak past enemies in stealth 
 
 

Respite (survival)

 
 
 
Allows the Deacon to recover his reserve strength faster after running or fighting 
 
 

Recommendations

 
First of all, improve the gas tank of the motorcycle. This will allow you to drive longer without needing to refuel; 
Try to quickly install nitrous oxide (nitro-acceleration) on the bike. Some points you will not be able to reach if your bike is slow; 
Before you go inside the object of study of Nero, be sure to turn off all the speakers. If this is not done, the alarm will go off, at the sound of which the enemies will run away. You can simply cut the wires with a standard knife, or shoot them with a pistol with a silencer. More information can be found here; 
The flashlight lets you blind the freaks. Just turn it on by clicking the down arrow, after which the enemies will become less aggressive, and you will have time to aim; 
Try to shoot the enemies in the head. Most opponents in this case die with a single shot; 
Don’t drive past survivors in need of help. As soon as you help a person, you can send them to one of the camps, and in return get credits or reputation; 
Use an interactive environment in battles with enemies, especially when fighting a horde of freakers. Before a large-scale battle, explore the area, and only then attack. You can bring down boards on enemies, blow up fuel and thereby cause a lot of damage. More information can be found here; 
If you are being chased by enemies, and you need to quickly get on the bike and hide from them, do it with a clamped square. So, the Deacon will get on the bike faster; 
There is nothing in cars with an open hood and trunk, so look only for those in which they are closed; 
The cars may be alarmed. To understand which of them it is, pay attention to the windshield. In cars with an alarm system there is a red light on; 
In the battle with strong enemies, fire often helps. Throw Molotov cocktails at your opponents to significantly weaken their defenses; 
Do not be afraid to part with the bike, even if you run out of gas, and there is no canister nearby. At the nearest camp, you can get your bike back for 50 credits; 
Please note that the weapons found will not be added to your weapon cabinet. To permanently get a particular gun, you must first buy it from a gunsmith; 
You can find out where the nearest fuel canister is located on the mini-map. Canisters are also stored in excavators; 
In police cars, when searching the trunk, you can always find ammunition. More information can be found here; 
Always refuel and repair your motorcycle before leaving the camp. It’s a shame if you don’t have enough fuel to get to the point; 
Be sure to save after destroying a large number of phreakers. You can do this near the bike, or next to the bed (where the Deacon sleeps); 
To learn more about the game world, just listen to what the people in the camp are saying. Often they talk about important details that are not always described by the plot. People can tell you how the epidemic started, what they did to survive, etc.; 
To get the most out of Days Gone, play on medium or high difficulty levels. Only then will you be able to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of survival in the post-apocalypse.
