Hey there, welcome to this post, This post will provide you with information regarding the DAVE THE DIVER – How to setup Ultra-wide Resolution, and we hope you will find this material helpful.
This guide shows you how to play the games on any 21/9 or larger ultra-wide aspect proportions without the bar on the side.
The perquisites
You will require the following items to play Ultrawide.
- A Computer
- Dave the Diver
- Borderless Gaming
Downloading the Borderless Gaming App
To complete this step, go to Borderless Gaming Github to download the latest application release. ( If you like, you can visit Borderless Gaming Steam Version on [steampowered.com]
You can support the developer by purchasing directly from Steam. )
Scroll down a bit until you find Borderless Gaming Version X.X.X. You’ll find it on the page where you can download it.
Once the.exe has finished downloading launch it and continue to install it. You NEED administrative rights to install the software!
You can choose where to install this file or keep it on the default location. The rest of the installation process is the same.
Once the installation process is complete, you may move on to step 2 of the user guide.
Borderless Gaming
Once you’ve opened Borderless Gaming, you’ll notice this small window. Dave the Diver must already be running before it appears in Borderless Gaming.
Select DAVE The Diver, then click on the arrow icon pointing right of the screen to add to your favorites.
Click the right box and select “Check” to confirm your selection. Full Screen with Auto-Maximize
Dave the Diver – Setting up
Click on the game to access the settings in the main menu of the game or its phone settings.
Once you are in the game’s settings, select Resolution. This will change your aspect ratio from 16:9 to 16A09556986A. Borderless Gaming (i.e. 1925×1080 > 1920×1080, 3440×1440>2560×1440), should now have applied everything. You should now be able to see more on both sides of the screen.
For those with problems with the game stretching out rather than unlocking a side, you can go to Borderless Gaming. You will see an icon with a rectangle with arrows pointing upwards*
* needs further testing.
Examples
This small selection of screenshots shows how the game would look in a 21:9 aspect ratio.
Known Issues
I’ve encountered some minor bugs and issues playing on the 21:9 ratio.
- UI stays 16 x 9
- Textures, UI, and other elements that are not meant to show on the edges of your screen.
- When working in a café, the UI is not centered.
- Cutscene is only available in 16:9 format.
As of the moment I am writing this, there have been no game-breaking issues.
The only thing that can be annoying until you figure it out is that when working at a restaurant, the UI prompts will not be in the center. This can be worked around by aiming at the prompt on the customer’s screen. When I get the opportunity, I’ll upload an example screenshot.
The conclusion of the article is:
My personal opinion is that this workaround makes the game more enjoyable. I’m very new to making guides, so excuse the messy layout.
I haven’t tested much playing this way, but if you run into issues, please let us know in the comment section. Please suggest any improvements you think I should make to this guide.
