Step 1

In the game, there is a feature known as “Vehicle group” that you can access from the Shift schedule by clicking on the button that reads:

Minibuses, Solo buses, Articulated buses, or Double-decker busses (pre-created groups)

The buttons are located beneath each bus in the schedule of Shift. The pre-made groups classify the different types of buses that are part of the games. All articulated buses will be placed under the Vehicle Group: Articulated busses.

Step 2

But you can’t use the pre-made groups if you want a specific bus model for each line.

To be able to see specific bus models in a line, you’ll be required to click the button previously mentioned and then click

“+ Manage vehicle groups”.

After clicking the button, an additional menu will open where you can select “New vehicle group”. Give the group name the same name as the bus model you’d like to use on specific lines.

Step 3

Once you’ve completed that you can return to the schedule for Shift. Then you assign the group you made to the model of bus you made the vehicle group for. If you wish, assign the group to all your buses with the same model.

Step 4

Click on the “Bus Routes” menu. Click “Edit timetable” for each bus line for which you wish to use a bus group you created. By using “Advanced settings” and below the week’s days for each timetable you will be able to set up the bus group you created earlier. If you have multiple timetables in a line and you wish to have the same model bus to be used across all timetables. Assign them the vehicle group)

Done with all the steps

After you have completed all of the steps in the guide, click “Assign bus models automatically” on the Shift schedule. The lines you’ve set up to specific bus models will be assigned the model every time you click “Assign bus models automatically”.
