This guide will teach you how to set a grid, capsule & hero for Back 4 Blood Closed Alpha ’cause Turtle Rock is too lazy to do it themselves & you don’t want your library looking ugly.

SteamGridDB

First, you need to grab the files. You can get them from anywhere, but SteamGridDB makes it nice & easy.

To get to SteamGridDB, just look it up in any search engine (I’d recommend DuckDuckGo). It’s the first result in every engine I’ve checked (DuckDuckGo, Bing, Google, Yahoo & Ask).

Once you’re in SteamGridDB, you want to use the search bar to find ‘Back 4 Blood Closed Alpha’. Here you can download the grids, capsule, Hero & Logo you want. You need to grab both a horizontal grid & a vertical one (known as a capsule).

Applying Assets

Applying the capsule, Hero & Logo is straightforward. For the capsule right click on the game in your library & select ‘add custom artwork’ & for the logo & hero, visit the games library page & right-click on the background (or where it should be) & select ‘set custom logo’ & ‘set custom background’ respectively.

Applying the horizontal grid is a little more tricky. Open File Explorer & navigate to `…\Steam\userdata\<id3>\config\grid`. Once there find the assets you applied earlier, their names will be a string of numbers followed by “_hero,” “_logo,” & “p.” Copy the string of numbers & rename the horizontal grid this then move it to the folder with the other assets & you’re done congrats.
