Baba Is You – How to Access the NEW BETA Editor Guide

Overview

This guide demonstrates how to access the current beta editor in Baba Is You, since all of the guides on Steam talk about the “original” one.

Step One

Go to properties on the Baba is You Steam page. It should be in the settings dropdown- the cog icon next to the info button and “favorite game” button (a blue star).

Step Two

In properties, go to “BETAS” and, in the dropdown above where it asks for a code, select “betatest – betatest” or “beta_unstable-beta_unstable”. This is where the newest iteration of the editor is located- NOT under “old editor”.

-Note that, as described,”beta_unstable” has more bugs than the “betatest”, so use at your own risk!

Step Three

Open the game once the beta has loaded, and select one of the new editor related buttons found there (the game gives a tutorial on how the editor itself works). Have fun!

Note: Since the editor is in beta, it might have some glitches and occasionally crash. Do not expect it to be perfect!
